oh...so you've visited there lately, how was the trip ??
how badly were they being tortured ? did you have to look away ??
The Geneva Convention covers enemy soldiers, not terrorists
and if a little water-boarding gets some info out of these guys as to their next attack on innocent civilains, then so be it....I'll turn the hose "on"
bad. And it got very little information out of terrorists.
Rebel, i don't think what the Americans are doing is much better. But what i'm trying to say is that disregarding an international governing body (that when countries do accord is successful) sets a precedent for the rest of the world! A very bad one!
America do use illegal methods of interrogation(water boarding etc.) but there is no doubt its the lesser of two evils. I would rather some "freedom fighters" feel uncomfortable than what is going on in Georgia right now or what went on post WWII.
And also compare Georgia to Iraq... in Georgia where was the oppressive dicator? Did Georgia gas thousands of innocent people? If the US's reason for invading was false, then at least I'm glad they had achieved something. Russia on the other hand can only do harm to what was a well working country, and the only thing they will achieve is oppression, rather than liberation.
