Pogba has re-signed but he isn't exactly going out there begging for a massive contract from other clubs either. It is a weird situation which needs to be clarified urgently. If he wants to move on and go back to France and earn big bucks, that is his choice and no one should be critical of that as we all want to earn more money, especially if it is being offered.

But for me the scary aspect to it all is the fact that we could sell Pogba and suddenly have a lot of cash that could be one, pocketed and put straight to the line, or two used to bring in what would be an influx of over priced, hyped mid aged Italian players from lower clubs that are not exactly great. We know Marotta can bring in some brilliant players such as vidal, Pirlo and pogba without spending much cash at all, but he also has a tendency to bring in some filth as well.

I personally would rather see cash plus a player like Verratti deal...why? Because automatically you get what seems to be a very good midfielder who is proving himself in Europe and is still young. Now the question of whether Pirlo and Verratti can play together is interesting and one player who has played a lot with both now is Motta. In an interview he stated they could co-exist as they do differ as midfielders. I just wonder is we can make this work under conte.

If not Verratti....then I don't know what other players they have who we could use. Lavezzi was great at Napoli but will be 29 years old soon...Pastore great in Serie A, hasn't been able to replicate it in at PSG, but can a change of environment back to serie A getting back in form...for the future...Sirigu to replace Buffon??? Van der Wiel maybe? Menez can come on a free if he wants to join us this summer.

As for wingers...if Berardi continues to play the way he is and get attention from Arsenal I think we should show some faith in him and give him a chance on the right. Still interested in Lamela....and for left back I still think Criscito is the man for us.

Pirlo and Verratti in the same midfield is defensively awful, we would be picked apart in Europe even more than we are now. Nah, it's best we take cash and switch to a 4-2-3-1. Vidal and Marchisio are more than good enough. We need winger(s), we need a left back and we would benefit from a top attacker

Changing our midfield isn't going to help us that much, and Pirlo + Verratti in midfield means that Vidal would be running for 3 people. It's just far too unbalanced

We can create a quality, balanced team with Pogba money + our Summer budget.

We only needed a 3 man midfield because we had an outstanding Pirlo, a WC Vidal and Pogba. If he goes, we don't need to try and re-building our midfield.

Also, I don't want some poor swap deal from PSG

Lavezzi will soon lose his biggest weapon, his pace. Pastore I wouldn't take for 5M. Awful player.

WDV isn't fit to lace Lichtsteiners boots. I'd rather keep Pogba than fill our squad with PSG rejects.

And dropping Vidal deep behind limits his scoring and assisting abilities too.

id rather keep Pogba as well but the reality is if he leaves and we get cash, you watch Cerci, Diamanti and another 2 or 3 hacks join the club with the money we get from selling Pogba.

Verratti is the future, Pirlo is retiring in 2 years...and still hasn't re-signed either. People keep posting names like Suarez, Di Maria etc...these guys wont join a club who is selling their best players for cash. Once Pogba is sold, it puts juventus into a different class, a much lower level.

Well if we managed to take a fortune and spend it on old italians then our directors will have all failed to sackable proportions. But I highly doubt we'd be stupid enough to do that.

I definitely dont want players like WDV Pastore etc coming in. They're worse than we have now. Verratti is great. But our midfield is not the issue. Its a left back a striker and a winger that would propel us forward. Not a change in midfield.

Selling Pogba for money and going after big names doesn't really sent a bad message out at all. I think people are reading too far into players thoughts. We can offer trophies, CL football and a good wage.

I disagree, if we could offer players good wages then we wouldn't have this predicament with Pogba were another club is offering what is considered to be a very good wage. And in most cases, anyone considered world class has a wage expectation of what PSG are offering Pogba, or supposedly offering him anyway.

So whilst good young talent leaves for mega dollars and high wages, it creates a perception that we cant compete with the cashed up clubs. By not competing with them in the transfer periods, it makes it harder for us to win trophies outside of Italy.

We need a LB, WC striker (although llorente and tevez are not too shabby) and a winger....I agree with all that. But we need a future keeper, we need a future Pirlo, which we can get in Verratti and we need to look at players who are 30 and have a long term plan. So players like Lich, Barzagli for example, need to be thought of as well, unless Ogbonna or Caceres can take over them they need to be looked at.
