A holding mid and a regista have very similar duties.
While Marchisio has the attributes to play as a holding midfielder, he is sitting in front of the defence and picks his time to go forward.
I don't know what a hell you're talking about here. Regista and holder have obviously different set of responsibilities.

Not even as a holding midfielder? He did fine job there IMO and should be considered as a permanent solution.
He plays one good match as a regista -- people want him there. He plays at LW, people say they want to see him there. He plays B2B, people think he's better there. He plays as a DM, people think he should stay there.

He's 28yo and people don't know where he should play. He's decent at several positions but he's not even a defined player and shines nowhere. Overhyped and overrated just because he's a true Juventino.

Now I'm gonna defend him a little bit, the irony of that. It wasn't one good match, but 5-6 of those actually, ever since Pirlo got injured and not as regista, but as a holding midfielder. My personal feel is that Conte will continue with him there. He was previously good as DM, but the problem arose when he was shifted all around the pitch due to incompetence of our previous managers. In this role he just needs to keep it simple and that's exactly what he did in the last few games; he's tactically intelligent player with good positioning, has very good short passes, releases the ball quickly (unlike Pirlo), moves and presses higher up the pitch (Pirlo's biggest flaw), decent tackler, etc...IMO his best role from now on and one problem less for us to solve.

How about Lavezzi? He's available and I've always been a fan of his game

Lavezzi - Llorente - Tevez

Vidal - Pogba
Marchisio

Sagna - Chiellini - Barzagli - Licht

Buffon

We could safely sell Gio, Quag and Vucinic without having to replace them with 5 strikers. Also this way we have a proper formation that could fit our next superstar Berardi. I don't want to bring Berardi back to a formation that doesn't fit him.

And Sagna is available and there have been whispers about Arsenal letting him go. Surely Marotta should be all over a bargain like him.

The big issue here is if Tevez is motivated to play on the wing.

The Gazzetta dello Sport write this morning that Andrea Ranocchia is a step closer to joining Borussia Dortmund.

It was revealed earlier this week that the German side were keen on the Inter defender, and the Milan-based paper have insisted on Wednesday that both clubs have agreed on an €11m price tag.:lol:

Reports that Fredy Guarin has refused to turn up to Inter training this morning are apparently false.

It was revealed earlier on Wednesday that the Colombia international had decided not to go to Appiano Gentile today in reaction to the club refusing to let him leave for Juventus.

But Sky Sport Italia have claimed that the Nerazzurri, have, in fact, allowed the Colombia international to have two days’ leave.:spliff:
Imagine if Inter breaks his contract and then he comes for free
