No to Hazard, Robben and Ribery. Impossible. Also Hazard is garbage

- - - Updated - - -

No to any of them in jan
Alen, is that you?

Hazard has been one of Chelsea's best players this season. He along with Oscar are the best attacking players, i'd argue that Hazard has been slightly better even if Oscar has been the more prolific player so far.

so, in short, i'm sure you haven't watched Chelsea this season.

So who would you pick for this winter and summer mercato?

I think we need a LB and RW in winter, so realistic targets are:
LB: Criscito, Kolarov, Santon, Murru...
RW: Menez, De Bruyne

In summer I think with some right sacrifice we can get one of:
RW: Di Maria, Cuardado... + Berardi
LW: Griezmann...

Who is your realistic target for LB, RW and LW? Is there a good youngster for LW position who we can change for Gio. I realy hate this fragile midget :D

Lb- Kolarov easily, he can beat his man, he can cross and has a monster shit
wouldn't mind Murru as one for the future though he looks like a good prospect

as for Santon, he is absolute dog shit

My first choice would be:
Winter
LB: Kolarov
RW: De Bruyne

Summer:
LB: Murru
LW: Griezmann + replacement for Gio. (promising youngster)
RW: Di Maria + Berardi

I've grown fond of Zach's idea for a 4-3-1-2, so my choices for wingers reflect that(players who can play in that formation or who don't mind sitting on the bench most of the time, as I feel the ability to switch to a 4-3-3 with one sub would be useful).

LB: Ricardo Rodriguez
RW: De Bruyne (main position as CAM though), Menez (back up for when De Bruyne's out)
LW: Not too sure. If Jovetic continues to be out of favour at City for the rest of the season, we could try getting him cheap, as he can sub as both a striker or a LW. Vucinic can play there and De Bruyne would be able to as well if needed, so it's not really too pressing of an issue for the time being.

[...]
i hope we go all in for nainggolan in the winter mercato. we are at least one player short in CM. furthermore we should intensify our search for a pirlo replacement/understudy, renew with pogba and pirlo (i consider vidal a done deal) + keep marchisio obviously.
pushing for a winger mid-season isn´t the way to go imo. if a opportunity presents itself... fine. but another CM should be the priority because yesterday we saw that injuries were starting to take their toll, as we looked quite tired.

so in short: nainggolan, jump on opportunities, reevaluate in summer
btw: i don´t even know if we have enough money to buy nainggolan :D

as for LB:
i kinda like criscito but he will probably be quite expensive. apart from that, i would take asamoah and even caceres over kolarov, santon... any day of the week. ogbonna also did resonably well against madrid.

i know that´s probably not a very popular opinion but imo it´s a very safe way to progress. and playing it safe worked very well for us this far.

even with our current squad we can field a very competitive 4321-4312 so i´m not a big fan of "flashy" 433 wingers who can´t be used in 352.
stealing cuadrado from fiorentina would be sweet of course ^^

I think an investment in the LB/LWB position is more helpful to our squad than one in a 5th choice CM at this point, as it would effectively kill two birds with one stone(lets us play Asamoah as a CM). If we don't go for a LB/LWB then a move for Radja wouldn't be a bad idea.

we had this discussion several times and i definately see your point.

i think it all comes down to how you see asamoah on the left. personally, i do rate him quite highly. he´s fast, has good positioning, very good technique and passing and it´s very hard to go past him. of course he isn´t a player who dribbles past defenders all day long but are criscito, kolarov and santon those players? no...

if we want more penetration on the left flank we should go for another formation, not switch our LWB. btw: i absolutely agree that his best position is CM but if i had to choose between
1) asamoah starting as LWB and nainggolan being vidal´s replacement (up to 18mio?) and
2) asamoah moving to CM and kolarov/santon playing LWB (last number i read on kolarov were 12mio + high wages)
i would go for 1) in a heartbeat (considering 352!)...
criscito though... :). (more suited to a 4-men-backline i guess)

For the amount of money he was worth he is extremely overrated. From what I've seen of him all he is good for is either diving or getting fouled. He isnt a player that would fit juve

I want to bring criscito back, he is great at lwb and can play lcb if needed, 2nd choice would be murru for sure

 How many usernames does this guy have and always with something about Sardinia; how inconspicuous. I've seen at least 4-5 in the last couple of months.

why did marotta spend half of transfer deadline day trying to sign (50% of) nainggolan when he had absolutely no money left?
i don´t know how big the budget is and i also laugh at those "i want di maria and mata in january"-guys, but how can you know (exactly) how big our summer budget was -> how big our winter budget will be?

Personally I don't mind Asamoah as a LWB / LB; he does a good job there. However, as you know, he's better at CM and I feel we can do better than him for the wingback / fullback position. That's why I don't feel investing a considerable amount of money in a 5th CM is a great option when we can make Asamoah that 5th choice, while simultaneously improving our starting line-up. If we choose not to extend Pirlo's contract it's a different story, but as long as we are that's my position.

Also, my preferred LWB / LB wouldn't be Kolarov or Santon; it would be Ricardo Rodriguez of Wolfsburg. He's 21 and has been linked with big clubs in the past, with Chelsea being linked recently as well. I expect that anyone who appreciates Asamoah in the position would like him as well, as he's good defensively, while also being a threat in the final third with crosses and passes. The only area I'd say he's inferior to Asamoah in for that position would be pace, as he's not a particularly pacey player. I don't think he'd be too expensive, but he's one of the few good LBs who aren't cup-tied, so it's quite possible we'd be out-gunned if he were to leave Wolfsburg in this mercato, since as it's been stated many times, we don't have much money to spend currently.

We still dont have that type of imaginary cash for some purchases that are being mentioned here. I would go for Lulic and Basta to strengthen our flanks for a decent price.
