Wouldn't complain at that, providing we also brought in some cover for each forward position. Even if Cerci doesn't carry his great form over, we've at least established a base for a new formation to build on. Rather than buying a random striker and sticking to the 3-5-2.

that's the 2 formatioins I see conte using if he gets 2 good enough wingers. 433 if we want to use pirlo 4231 if not. prently of rotation between pirlo and marchisio in the 433 and tevez with the wingers in 433 (only in serie A). In champions league I want to see 4231 against teams we can dominate and 433 with big teams with either pirlo or marchisio on regista role so that videl and pogba can push forwards. if any wingers get injured then tevez can go on the wing in a 433. rotation is key next season. look at how much pep rotates his attack with Bayern.

Conte was rotating Quagliarella, Vucinic, Matri and Giovinco quite a lot if I remember correctly? To a point where it was frustrating because no striker got consistent playing time regardless if they scored or not.

Tevez and Llorente are just on another level compared to those strikers. Hence why Conte wanted a new striker this January.

Cuadrado does remind me of Gervinho sometimes...

Amazing stamina, great dribbling, good workload, very good acceleration / agility.

But bad IQ and end product.

It's just a feeling, though. I don't watch many matches besides those of Juve.

And with all this obssession by a winger... even stated by Conte many times.. I will never understand why he never tried Giovinco as a RW. At least during matches. I'm positive he didn't.

Given is limitations, the best he could do would be as a winger. He is very fast, very good acceleration, shoots well, can use both feet. Also he's got very low IQ, and that's possibly the only position on the pitch where you can be stupid and also succeed.

At least a decent option as a RW he could be. I just can't understand it. Juve needs a RW at least to change the formation once in a while; Conte always complaints about this; Giovinco sucks monkey balls as a CF; and he has the considered caracteristics to be a winger.

How Conte didn't even try it in 2 years???

Abate :inter:

Pls no.

I dont think is as complicated as you make it look. Asa transition into a LB would be just natural. Is much more easier than turning a LB into a LWB.
Exactly.

Of course but I don't think we can get Cuadrado, Di Maria and the likes. They would cost over 30mln.

I even doubt we can get Lavezzi unless PSG gets Griezmann or Di Maria.
Would take Cerci over Lavezzi without a doubt.

:agree:

And I don't know why people say he is old, since when is 29 old? He can play another 3 years without a problem.
Because his pace is his biggest trait(running at defenders) and it would slowly decline with age.And his end product is not the greatest nor he is a great finisher either.

Even though cerci has done well this season, at least Lavezzi is more proven domestically and in Europe. May be a couple of years older but if given a choice with similar price tags, I'd take Lavezzi and bring in berardi as first sub. at least you have someone proven and you give a younger player time to develop.

Always find these sort of statements about Asamoah amusing.

If Juve had signed someone who was considered a wing back and did as well as Asamoah has done, there would be no debate about the position and people would see Juve as set at left-back/left wing-back for years to come.

But, no. Because he started as a midfielder his ability on the flank will relentlessly be callled into question.

See the same thing in the Aberdeen support with an obsession with 'natural full-backs' because we've frequently played players who are really centre-halves there over recent years. No suggestion that we could actually do much better with someone who is seen as a natural in the position, but that doesn't stop people banging on about it.
Maybe, but my main problem is that his talents are being wasted there compared to if he played CM where he would be a much better player.
