they sold Ba which was their best striker at the time for 8m so how the hell do you expect them to ask for 15m for santon? only because they sold cabaye for 25m does not mean that they will sell us santon for 15m. if we had cabaye and psg made an offer for 25m marotta would ask for 30m+. Marotta is a quality negotiator and will certainly get him less than 10m.
demba ba had a release clause of that amount, santon doesn't see the difference?

marotta a quality negotiator? the only significant players he has bought abroad were players who were in their last year of their contracts again santon does not fall under that category

It's true that santon is fairly sable at Newcastle but a jump to juve would be a massive jump in his career. if he performs well he could fill that gap for the next 6-7 years as he is still young. if we don't get him and who does we get? there is no one else that is fairly cheap and can do the job properly.

santon wouldn't be the first player to reject a move to Juve whilst currently playing for a smaller club

diamanti had no problems rejecting Juve did he? hell do you remember antonio floro flores?
diamanti rejected us because he was the captain of bologna. he did not want to be a bench warmer. he now went to china because of Marcello pilli and because I think prandelli will take him to the world cup anayways.

santon would come to juve knowing that he will be a starter so he would not have a problem with that.

if we are going cheap on leftbacks then it is going to be one of: santon, radu, ansaldi or a young option like murru or monero.

would he really? some might argue that asamoah is doing a capable job still whilst there is no signs of switching to a back 4 any time soon

Shaqiri would a perfect fit. he already knows litchsteiner so he will link up well with him. plus he is fast can beat his man can cross to llorente and dribble. he is only 22 and has still got a lot of potential. he has only played 629 minutes for Bayern which means that we can buy him for under 20m just like how fiorentina brough gomez for 16m.
