Look man, you and Lapa could go and jizz all over the place with your Rossi man-crush. I think he's way too over-rated, will never become an impact player, and if anything is slightly better than Giovinco. Moreover, he's just had surgery not once, but fucking TWICE on the same torn ACL.
Rossi's stats prove a point, and that he really isn't a premier goalscorer, with the exception of his last season. Drogba is a big game impact player, even at 34, while Rossi isn't, and never will be.

Rossi's stats doesn't prove your point at all. The stats I posted was Rossi's stats from he was 20 to 24, who's to say why he wouldn't have scored the same amount of goals in this season if he hadn't been injured?
This is Drogba's stats from when he was 20 to 25:
Le Mans (Ligue 2) 98/99 - 0 goals in 2 games
Le Mans (Ligue 2) 99/00 - 7 goals in 32 games
Le Mans (Ligue 2) 00/01 - 1 goal in 14 games
Le Mans (Ligue 2) 01/02 january - 7 goals in 24 games
Guingamp (Ligue 1) 02 january/02 summer - 3 goals in 11 games
Guingamp (Ligue 1) 02/03 - 21 goals in 39 games
It's actually quite funny because at the age of 25 Drogba's and Rossi's stats were quite similar. In fact, Drogba's stats were actually worse than Rossi's. Anyway, it wasn't until Drogba turned 24 that he had one amazing season - just like Rossi. So how would you be able to tell if Rossi wasn't going to become a premier goalscorer based on his stats? Drogba's stats at that time were even worse, but he still managed to do extremely well. Who knows what Rossi could have accomplished if he hadn't been injured. I certainly don't see how you should be able to tell that he wouldn't have done well.
By the way, this isn't a Drogba vs Rossi decision for me. I would probably prefer Drogba at this moment, but I wouldn't mind getting Rossi cheap as a long term investment.
