Buying Fabregas outright would be really risky unless the price is really good like 10m, he is at a point in his career where you rather loan with an option to buy.

And the motive for Chelsea to let him go like this is?

The Fabregas case is similar to the Tevez one. Ex world class player having difficulties now. If the price is good enough you just pay it and take the risk.

i like that comparison. Another reason to try to get him is that he is not UCL bound as chelsea are not in the CL.

imagine this team.

Buffon
Alves Bonucci Chiellini Sandro
Khedira Marchisio Fabregas
Pjanic
Dybala Higuain

Because they can negotiate a better price while we lower the risk and dont buy him if he doesnt work out

The loan with option has a fixed price. Usually not very high for "finished" players. Loan with option to buy is like a trial. Only we give such presents to other teams like Bayern..
I know it has one, usually the fixed price is higher than what the selling team would get outright for the player in that transfer window.

We should pass on Fabregas unless a really non risk deal a' la free loan plus option. Cesc was already relegated from Barca when he went to Chelsea and achieved what? Good performance for half a season (it's his third year there I remind you).

I didn't know 19 assists in one half season was just good.

Why would we want an already slow unathletic midfield become an even slower and unathletic midfield by signing Fabregas? We'd be going from a complete all action midfield with Vidal and Pogba in it to a midfield comprising of a bunch of divas with the exception of Marchisio.

I hope we invest in some future talent. We can do better than bringing Fabregas in. Our midfield dynamic right now doesn't require another lethargic slow midfielder. We need a different type.

Why invest in Fabregas when Verratti's not happy in Paris?
I didn't say we should, ppl underrate him way too much tho, it's kinda ridiculous.

Verratti will be near impossible to get.

Trust me he is my fav non Juve player and has been for 4 years, but we need to lower our expectations to get him by alot.

Veratti: “It’s nice to have a lot of clubs interested in me, but I’m thinking about winning the Champions League with PSG and improving myself.

“Every year could be the magical one that you remember for the rest of your life.

“I hope it’s a great year, but it’s not the time to talk about the transfer market and I’m not planning to leave Paris where I’m very happy. PSG are one of the five or six best teams in Europe.”
