Look, if they can find a younger, better alternative for the 15.5 million that they would have to pay out, then I'm all for it. But who exactly could they find at that price range?

I think that if people checked his goal scored vs. shots on goal ratio, they would be pleasantly surprised at his efficiency. Especially compared to the other top goal scorers in the league

I agree however you have to admit his price is on the high side for a striker who isn't and will never be top class. I know in EPL these prices are normal but for 17M there were better options for us in the winter.

All of the prices are high. Some of the options on these players are probably more expensive than they'd be should we have bought them outright.

We also spent close to 10M Euros for loans this year, which isn't a drop in the bucket. I think the exact number was 9.5M Euros.

Doesn't need to be. There are many promising talented youngsters for less money.
Don't get me wrong, I like Matri and in the summer he was one of my favorite options to get along with Dzeko but I won't agree easiliy with his price.

So they are not top class players, they are potential top class players. Ideally we'd have a Matri plus one of those, but it's easier said than done.

Surely it's a bit shallow to say that since the numbers are rough estimates at best, but a great example would be Gameiro. I'm not against Matri, if anything far from it, I'm happy about the signing but I just feel we are getting a bit raped by Caglari.

How are you so sure that Benzema would only be available for only 20 million? And does Vucinic even have dual citizenship?

And I highly doubt that the new American ownership would be so quick to sell him.

I didn't know that being 4th in Serie A in goals scored this year is the definition of mediocre
