Well, I think it will be either Adriano, Gilardino, Trezeguet.
Messi will be THE new star, like Rooney after EURO 06.
Ronaldinho will be voted best player.
Poland will beat Germany.
Germany will cry their ass off after loosing in the 1/8 final. They have a CERO team with not one single player who can IMO change something by his own.
Klose is good, but never a top European striker, Podolski is WAY too young and will go down, once he faces a better defender than Mertesacker (god, if I had this name, I would really kill myself) and Ballack won't play good, because he will think about which team will be his next.

Never underestimate the power of good old Germany :) OK I have said this before the last Championship in Portugal too but who has thought they will make it to the final 2002 ?
Nobody

They have it pretty hard this time. They need a top Ballack, a top Kahn and an awesome striker. They only one I think who can score permanently is Klose. As he proved at Korea. The rest oft he team ist just averager. Maybe Schweinsteiger should be considered as top.

The rest is just bad. Imo Germany isn't world class anymore. Don't know what to think about this coaching staff. I mean why do you need Bierhoff, Löw AND Klinsmann. Seems a bit ridiculous to me.

I completly agree with your post.
But.........
I would never compare anything with the WC 2002. IMO the most discusting thing I have seen in football. This WC was really one to forget and the Germans came to the final by beating "world-class" teams like Paraguay (1:0); USA (same score); Korea (once again 1:0). Its IMPOSSIBLE to have so much luck again!
