and vieri will have to fight very hard to keep his spot because of iaquinta's age and im sure he'll have another good season for udinese.

de sanctis / peruzzi for number 2.

matterazzi/barzagli might both be picked for the cb bench.

For the goalkeeping spots obviously Buffon has the numero uno, while we have to wait and see how Abbiati plays for Juve to consider taking him. De Sanctis is still a very good keep.

Nesta, Cannavaro, Zambrotta are certainly going and IMO should be followed by this select few:

Bonera
Barzagli
Falcone
Grosso
Chiellini
(latter two could be used in midfield)

For the midfield Camoranesi, Pirlo, Gattuso, Totti all have a place in the squad, and so do these players IMO:

In attack Gilardino and Cassano will have a place in the team, and also Toni will be taken to Germany because I think he will have a great season for La Viola. He's an underrated forward who is basically the prototypical target man Italy needs, especially with Vieri not doing much to warrant a place in the side. Also:

well for now i think that De Sanctis should be in gigi's place , he played an AMazing game against Roma in the weekend i think that game should be enough


in defense i think nesta- cana are definant favourites....as well as zambroo.. grosso did well in the past games so he looks good for the LB position. I liked bonera in the past and i think he will get another crack.

in midfield camo,pirlo, de rossi played veryy well gattusso as well
i liked barone from palermo hes a rock and i think hes a better choice than de rossi.

in attack totti, toni look like they have their place already cuz they played very well against belarus, i think alex should be their untill cassano is called back.....vieri should be dropped as well as gila.... and di michele should be there
lucarrelli should be recallen as i dont wat does this need to do to be called for the azzuri..
