Practicing Another brick in the Wall pt2 Solo.
Awesome! I hope you get your bends in order.
That sounds so good right now. I think we're having something lame like soup tonight.
That does sound lame.

Since I'm 13, but I stopped at age of 15 and got back at age of 17. But only since about 6 months I started playing daily for a good time.

Do you play guitar?
No, but I do. :)

No, I was never very good at it. I played piano when I was little, and took up the clarinet a couple of years ago. But I don't have the discipline to be very good :D
Oh, Piano is nice I used to play piano when we had a Piano, I was meh the only song I knew to play was Clocks by Coldplay. :D

My fingers are royally fucked, I'm playing on acoustic guitar with high tension strings gauge 12.

Nice, what style to you play the most?

Oh acoustic. God bless you. :D

I mostly play rock, heavy metal, progressive rock\metal. I love playing stuff with odd time signatures and ones with a bit of finger wizardry involved, though I must admit I'm not very good at playing them right now. I occasionally try to learn songs by ear and play then. Almost any stuff that I like. Maybe some classical music or national anthems for example.

I play on an electric guitar which is far more comfortable btw.

I play everything on acoustic. I can't wait to get a cutaway one, so I could play all the solo's on the low frets. :smoke:
Lucky you, you can learn songs by ear. Wish I can do that.

If possible, you should get an electric guitar too. Nothing fancy. Just a simply Stratocaster copy would do. It's the best way to move away from chords and playing scales. Once you learn playing scales, it should be pretty easy to learn by ear.

I play scales. I mastered most minor pentatonic blues scales, but I think I need to master more scales to learn by ear.
I play more solos and scales on my acoustic than chords, I find chords boring because I can't sing.

I like to do backing vocals, but my voice is utter shite, which is the main reason I don't sing. When playing the guitar I can sing but the singing is out of tone and I struggle to keep on time on the guitar.
There's not specific type I play, I play songs I like from different genres mostly Neil Young, Bob Marley, Sublime RATM, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Elliott Smith, Verve, Big Star, Gn'R, Alice in Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies Muse..
