Exactly. That's why you should get a music player where you don't need any software for syncing the device. Just drag-n-drop the files into the player and play it.

But iTunes is beyond retarded. IMO, it's one of the worst pieces of bloated, overweight software created in the past decade. Only maybe Adobe Reader is worse, and that's because of it's piggish automatic updating policy.
