But in the 5th, a couple of redeemable places I recall included Le Pre Verre (http://www.lepreverre.com/), Le Petit Pontoise (http://www.petitpontoise.com/), and Le Papilles (http://www.lespapillesparis.fr/). And Eric Kayser (http://www.maison-kayser.com/) is a killer bakery near one of my more favorite Parisian parks, Les Jardins du Luxembourg. None of these places should kill your budget if you order the right things.
