That's wank man, surely they'd pay you more the further from the capital you went
Mumbai is the financial capital of india,Delhi is just filled with oversized parliament and lavish houses for every politician in the cabinet.

That's a little of what I'm facing. Except instead of another city, it's now car commuting where I used to take the subway plus a role that's a lot better of a learning opportunity than the kinds of higher-paying roles I've had to date. Sometimes the extra money just doesn't cut it, you know. ;)
Excatly and its not like i am saving any. I literally spend every rupee.

A move to mumbai would do me good, will give me some time with my family and most importantly get me away from delhi!

Even still, I've never heard of anybody taking a pay cut to move within the same country.
That's typical in my industry in my country, btw. And it makes financial sense too. A Dubliner doing the same job, for example, is going to have higher cost-of-living expenses than if they lived in, say, Newgrange.

I don't think Mubai is to Dehli what Newgrange is to Dublin, especially considering Newgrange is a neolithic monument and not an actual place...

Cost of living here between cities is remarkably similar.

No wonder your economy has gone to shit. You're paying rural rednecks inner city wages.

That's the beauty of it though, we don't create jobs outside of Dublin and Galway and their commuter belts, we leave the farmers to their hay and inbreeding :seven:
;)

But just look at the huge variation here in price indexes for the average home from city to city:
http://www.realtor.org/research/research/metroprice

Look at the single-family 2nd Quarter 2011 pdf (the top link). The average housing price in the San Francisco metro area was at $515k. By comparison, the Houston, Texas metro area was averaging at $156.5k. That's over a 3x difference just in the average price of a home between the metro areas of two major cities.

So I just ran 3 miles and I'm sitting here browsing the forums, drinking some recovery drink, and basically cooling down. My mother just handing me a glass of wine. Apparently, its my father's birthday and the party has started.
