Sometimes it's good to dig into the musical cellar. I've been blown away this year digging into the back catalog of the long-deceased Slim Gaillard... from his swing jazz, improv, calypso, Spanish Flamenco, Cuban, and even Yiddish and Arabic influences. He was like a Cab Calloway with all the comedy but an insane variety of international styles.
Here's some of his virtuoso skills as an entertainer, playing piano with the back of his hands, followed by his guitar-work on one of his classics:
