Not really, we need reliable depth players, and not rely on the likes of matuidi and khedira who offer next to nothing.
You're right. We need players like this McKennie to rest our starters in matches against Spezia, Benevento or Crotone.
And since he's probably a player who should play for those teams, we will lose points against them and lose the scudetto.
I'd rather have Khedira in hospital than below average players on the pitch. Our starting midfield right now is Bentancur, Arthur, Rabiot. At least two of them should be on the bench of a team aspiring to win a treble. For that to happen we need to buy two starting midfielders, and we're getting a black Texan with a Scottish surname, whose Italian is probably worse than the Inglorious Basterds'.
I hate him without ever seeing him play. I refuse to watch a single youtube clip of him, because he sucks.

I wonder if Badass would judge Mckennie differently if Marotta was the one to blow €25m on him.

Interesting transfer, very suprising too. You can read every news on couple of sites and then all of the sudden we have a deal done for someone never mentioned with transfer to us.

This reminds me of transfer of Lemina, with similar age, position and club status. I just hope his acclimatization here will be quick, because his skills are good enough for back up midfielder. Even with obligation of transfer after alleged 60% of appareances, this is very good deal for us. I read many comments from Bundesliga fans surprised and confused how Schalke is going along with this.

Looking forward to see him play, I guess more because of curiosity then expectations.

Because they probably didn't. They need the guaranteed money. Obligation after reaching CL ranks makes much more sense for them than the zero risk for Juve deal that's been reported in italy.

Kicker and SZ reporting €6m loan with €18m obligation.
