I'm done. Absolutely done. The obvious hatred for anything American in this forum is beyond laughable. You can all go fuck off.
What the fuck is that supposed to mean?
If only everyone was as enlightened and omniscient as you.

So many butts hurt here

but if you criticize Tici then they run to his defense

So many two-way smart boys here
:lol::lol:

He is a cheap young player for depth. He’s a low risk signing and these are the kind of players we should have coming off the bench. Young energy subs instead of overpaid veterans made of glass. Worst case scenario we get into the American market and plusvalenza him to Premier League. Best case scenario we get into the American market and he develops into a key player.
You think that's the worst case and it's better than: "A midfield starter gets injured and this guy gets to start every match, but because he's below average we lose points and lose the scudetto and we get another early elimination in CL"?

I hope so :)

I’m also pretty confident in PL clubs being interested if he flops.

Well for starters, he needs to play 60% of our games to end up costing 24M.

Will he do that in the first place?

If he did, then he would have done fairly well here no?

Plus he's American. He'll always generate interest no matter how badly he fares here, in case he did. We could always sell him for a decent price.
Is that true though? I've read a lot of conflicting stories, one being if we make the top 4 we have to sign him.

Of course if the guy plays 60% of our games I can see the argument to make him permanent. But if he shows nothing, sits on the bench for the majority of the season and we have to sign him because we make the CL I would be disappointed.

There are also the bonuses to consider, which could make the transfer come to 30m. But who knows whether these are easy to achieve like e.g. starting 5 games or hard to achieve e.g. winning CL.

Can't say I'm excited by this signing, it feels similar to an expensive Lemina type deal.

One thing that he does seem to bring and something we have badly lacked is energy and tenacity. I just hope he has a bit of technique about him and not just a Sturaro.

From Pirlo's conference it seems like he wants a bit more energy and hussle to win the ball back. It may be our system brings the best out of him.

The fact he is young, will be on relatively low wages and will have a resale value is a nice change. I just wish the transfer fee was lower.
Lemina looked like has heavy ass though and this kid looks better watching from youtube , come on, prove us wrong

The ‘if we end in top 4’ scenario sounds to stupid to be true. We just won the Serie A 9 times in a row, it would take a idiot to create that option instead of a regular obligation.
Yes, but it would also be stupid from Schalke to think he'll play 60% of all games for Juventus. We'll have to wait, but with how high the loan is, i expect us to buy him next season anyway.

McKennie: 'Juventus dream come true'
By Football Italia staff

Weston McKennie described joining Juventus on his 22nd birthday as ‘a dream come true’ and pledged his performances will be ‘all or nothing.’
The midfielder completed his transfer from Schalke 04 last night, on loan for €4.5m with an option to buy for €18.5m and a further potential €7m in performance-related bonuses.

“I’m very excited. I grew up watching football in Texas, idolising the players and playing with them on video games. Now I also play football so it’s definitely a dream come true, for sure. My favorite football team are the Cowboys,” McKennie told Juventus TV.

“When you think of the word Juventus, you think of Jews who went to the US.”

He is the first American to wear the Bianconeri jersey and one of very few to have played in Serie A.
“Of course, being the first of anything is something to be proud of. I am used to always be picked last and to be the worst in everything so being first Is an accomplishment. I’ve heard a bit from Michael Bradley - the greatest authority ever on Italian football - that it’s a tough league, so I’m definitely excited to get into it.
“I signed on my birthday and now I’m starting a whole new journey. Speaking of "journey" I learned two Italian words already, but I forgot them. One of them sounded like journey... bawnjourney or something like that”

McKennie was asked if he had a message for the Juventus fans.
“You’ll expect 100 per cent out of me every game, definitely. Perhaps I won't start in the first quarter, but I expect to play in the other 3 quarters.”
