Taxes are good man! At least if it goes somewhere useful. Heck in Alberta 5% tax, roads are utter shit, they occasionally shovel the snow. And the entire province is disgusting. I might be crazy biased against this shit hole, but man I miss Ontario's 16% taxes and me clean, walk-able streets during the winter.

Taxes are necessary but we're seriously overtaxed in Quebec.

People making more than 130 000$ pay a combined federal+provincial tax of 52%. Then, there is municipal tax which is a whooping 10% in my town and the sales tax is also painfully high.

Taxes should be somewhere in the middle, they're too low in Alberta and definitely too high in Quebec.
