Apparently from the French papers, Matrix scolded Zidane "an ungrateful dog breeded in Italy"

You all can have your own views but this comes from the French.......
Well I read everywhere that no body's making a comment and that the current news on what was said cannot be 100% justified just as yet.

But if it was what Matrix said, then regardless of it bieng an offense, Zidane should've kept his head cool..especially for his farewell game...he had so much going for him in that game.

With all due respect to Canna, I think Zizou was the best player in this world cup by far ..... Cannavaro was a true leader and a hell of a player..

I wonder why FIFA doesnt have a trophy for the best defender.. They've got a trophy for the best goali and the best player...

Best goali: (goalkeepers)
Best defender: (defenders)
Best Player: (Mids and attackers)
Well by my books, Cannavaro has been strong all WC long, in all of the games he has merit atleast 8. Getting in tackles and headers without a single yellow card. A dominant force, I've never seen single defender be so dominant in a world cup.
While Zidane bloomed a bit later on, although I must say the French team more than Zidane himself looked atfault for the slow start.

I guess one could argue that Zidane carried the french team towards the finals with his goals and assist which is statistically more than we can write about Cannavaro...

FIFA is really pathetic... they are trying desperatly to convince the public that the refs didnt use video footage of the incident..... FIFA we are not stupid... we do have brains you know... stop bullshitting us, the spanish ref didnt see it.. if he had seen it and was so sure about it, the red card should've been given straight away, but that didnt happen ... it took the argentine ages to figure out what happened..... he definitly recieved the instructions from the fifth ref..... and if they dont/ didnt want to introduce the video ref., then why does the fifth ref have a TV infront of him ....?????!!!!!

Apparently the french reported that Matrix scolded Zidane a disgraceful dog.
Well here's a differnt report Zhixin:

Bitter Gallas calls Italy 'cheats'

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

France defender William Gallas has called the Italians 'cheats', after his team's World Cup final defeat to the Azzurri on Sunday.

Les Bleus captain Zinedine Zidane was correctly dismissed for a head-butt on Marco Materazzi in an off-the-ball incident in Berlin.

But a bitter Gallas has controversially moved to defend his team-mate and alleged that Marcello Lippi's team used underhand tactics to win.

"Italians always act like this," he told AFP. "It is a shame to say that, but when they feel they are being dominated they try to provoke you.

"Yes, they are cheaters, but we can't stop that. Fifa and the referees only see the second act, they never look at why there is an incident.

"I accept when the adversary wins with honour, but that is not the case. We know Zizou, he doesn't react like that, people can't react like that, but he has been insulted.

"I think it was very grave. When you play against people like that you want to kick their ass. It is cheating, but they are Italians."

While reports in the French media suggest that Materazzi called Zidane a 'terrorist,' making reference to his Algerian roots, the Frenchman's reaction was inexcusable and left a sour taste in the mouth after what has been an outstanding career.

yup, but then no1 can really make out the conversation between those 2, unless Zidane spoke it himself.

lol, this is funny from their golden ball article :

In the Final against Italy, he opened the scoring with an exquisite, not to mention audacious, spot-kick. Despite his tireless prompting, however, Zidane was unable to pick up the second FIFA World Cup™ winners medal of a glittering career and was sent from the field for butting Marco Materazzi in the chest. -->

--->
"but nevertheless he still deserves this award and we hope hundreds of millions of kid take this example, of this wonderful man who finished the WC in such a high note." ;)

exactly....
i have heard a million "possible dialogs" between materazzi and zizou and it drives me crazy!!

how could possibly someone know what's been said?????
materazzi has probably only said it to the players, and zizou is still trying to forget it

Why doesnt Materazzi speak out for himself.... Zizou's silence is understandable, but Materazzi should speak out

I doubt the italian players even wanna know...they're on cloud 9....

while the french don't dare ask Zidane as he is probably in misery already....

Im thinking we'll only find out after the WC hype has died down..
