I was reading through Goal.com when I clicked on their Serie A Team of the Week.
Before the page loaded, I was sure Mutu would be there. But what surprised me is the inclusion of Vieira.
To be honest, I thought Vieira played below his standards during the Palermo game. I know how good he is but how he played over the weekend was not his best performance at all. For me, he lost some crucial balls. One of which was a possession which led to the first goal for Palermo. He won the ball in midfield, but instead of releasing the ball right away, he kept it longer which led to the turn-over which led to the corner that resulted in a goal.
I'm not saying that he played shitty, but he's no "Vieira" at the moment. He plays just like Tacchi on a regular day. He's not the Vieira that dominates the midfield much better than Emerson. (During that day, he was always a shadow to Emerson) Sometimes, he takes long to pass. Even though his passes are accurate, sometimes is just takes longer than usual.
No offense, but he's been playing "normally" for the past few games ever since last year. He's not as explosive as he was the start of the season.
