Bayern announce Toni deal
Bayern Munich have confirmed the signing of Luca Toni on a four-year deal! On June 8 he will be in Munich for his medical and he will then be officially unveiled to the Press. The transfer fee is £7.8m. Bayern haven’t qualified for next season’s Champions League, making this a hell of a surprise & leaves me wondering about Toni's ambition to be honest. Now I fully understand that Bayern are a huge club, one of the worlds most prestigious, but surely a player at Toni's age, with the clubs he has played for, & the form he has found recently, a club in the CL was a must?
Also wondering if we were every in the running given the fact the player wasn't too worried about European football?
