well i would say its pretty hard to play well when your manager disses you in public, and doesnt play you..
Still no excuse to perform horribly everytime he's been given the opportunity to start. It doesn't matter if his manager likes him or not, he is a professional athlete that is paid ungodly amounts of money to play football. Honestly how bad could it actually be to get paid for doing something you love?? And what is the excuse for playing horribly for us? Can there even be a legitimate excuse after the past few matches?

when i said people havent seen him play..i didnt mean his games with juve...i meant for Chelsea, Lyon or the Portugese NT..because thats where you'll see what he is capable of.
That’s what I thought you meant :D, but then again even if that’s the case no one ever put a gun to his head and said sign the contract with Juventus. It's his decision to take the money/opportunity here and he is obviously not taking advantage of the latter when he has been given the chance.

It doesnt matter how much he's paid...he could be the most paid player in the team..but if he doesnt get playing time...he wont adapt...you are asking a player that came from the french league to the tougher serie a..to adapt to the team after 4-5 starts..thats impossible imo..he hasnt been given a fair chance..i think thats pretty obvious.

So how many more ass licking performances do we need from him to earn the right to criticize him?

I think you're being quite unfair on him anyway...against Catania in the first half..Juves whole midfield werent playing well..while i remember him doing well in the start of the season..i think it was against Reggina.

"blind faith" is a more suitable word

Well he's barely played mate...you cant adapt if you dont get playing time

thats only because they havent seen him play...and they're just taking Ranieris word for it.
I know that just like Criscito, Tiago has been thrown in the deep end a couple of times and was asked to perform before he was given the appropriate time.

Having said that i think that he should at least be showing some form of adaptation to the style and general flow of the game.

I didn't see that at all. If he was a less skillful player than he wouldn't even be able to do well in some of those games.

The key for him now is just to work hard when he gets the chances and by the looks of things there will be plenty.

I would like to hear the opinions of different players on how Tiago has performed in practice since the start of the season, just to see if good old Ranieri was speaking the truth about him. Tiago wasn't bad against Empoli and Reggina, but now the player has just gotten worse. I blame that on Ranieri for beating him down like a dog, but Ranieri is an idiot anyway.
you should really get your own mind straight. you were one of the few being quite happy with the arrival of that idiot at juve.

tiago himself has admitted that it all wasn't good enough in the beginning, that he had real problems adapting to the league, so it's not like CR screwed him over ever since his arrival. tiago hasn't shown his true colours in italy yet, it's simple as that (and i'm being very polite on him here). surely CR got frustrated with what was supposed to be the main inforcement for this season and obviously he made it clear that tiago wasn't the type of player he was aiming for, but up late he has spoken in defence of tiago on a regular basis, saying that he was finally adapting to the italian style of football, that tiago was now doing difficult things easily in training and also that he would regularly give him a chance now (which he did since) but still tiago doesn't deliver one bit, i simply see no contribution to the team. CR didn't sub him twice at halftime because he hates him, but simply because tiago's performances are not good enough.

for sure, it's not a love story between the two of them but if we get rid of one of them then it would definitely be tiago. if i see him play now i have the impression that we bought some supposed talent from some youth team in a forgotten country. he played in portugal, england and france ffs, he's supposed to have some football experience.

I could not agree more with Pevels comment. Also in regards to Andy's comment
..I would like to hear more what other players have to say...
well every Juve player will say supportive things about their colleagues. It's a common sense, for most of us.

You know, when you have experience players such as DP, Neddy, Tiago, Gigi etc. they need more manager than a coach, while younger players such as Chiellini, Noce etc, they would need coach more than a manager.
So CR is not here to teach Tiago how to keep a ball, how to distribute it, or how to score, and what to say to Portuguese papers...Tiago, DP and other senior players should know this already. CR can tell them about tactic, how to play as a group and to manage them as he observe them every day and can see what is missing or not..

Believe me Andy everyone want Tiago to be success, not only you and few others lads.
Tiago had lots of chances to shine, and he needed only one superb game to prove us all wrong, but he did not deliver unfortunately. I would rather give a chance to Almiron form now, depending on formation of course. Let him warm up the bench maybe it will make him hungrier. I mean last game, he was running away from a ball, and his job was to connect defense and attack.
You fixated idea of Tiago as your super hero, and Ranieri as an idiot and you cant see anything else..
I am sick of seeing how badly we perform every time Tiago plays.
Its time to change. Lets hope from Sampdoria match..
Forza Juve

The problem with Tiago is that he's also not performing in those areas where confidence isn't crucial. Which means he's not running. If you really want to become crucial in a team, you try to move heaven and earth, you try working very hard. These are things Tiago isn't doing. He doesn't do anything.

Tiago: I Have To Quit Juve

Tiago Mendes’ days at Juventus seem numbered after he admitted that he cannot bear to stay at the club any longer.

The Portuguese international only signed for Juve from Lyon in the summer in a €13m deal, however he has been a huge flop in the Italian league.

Last Saturday he was offered a great chance to kick-start his career in Turin when he was named in the starting XI to face Catania, however after a disastrous first-half performance he was hauled off at half-time.

Tiago also started Tuesday night’s Coppa Italia clash with Empoli, but he was once again subbed at the interval with Juve trailing 4-3 on aggregate.

The 26-year-old has been linked with an exit from the club for several weeks now, and he has told Tuttosport that this would be the best solution to take.

"I can't stay here any longer,” Tiago said. “The best thing for me would be to leave."

Tiago has been associated with a number of clubs around Europe, including Tottenham Hotspur, who reportedly tabled a bid for the player last week.

Spurs boss Juande Ramos is desperate to sign a centre-midfielder and may step up his efforts to sign Tiago following these statements from the player.

Well if its true that he doesn't want to stay any longer than we should be looking to sell him and replace him.
