you are on thin ice around these parts.

i agree to an extent. not for the fact that im "italian" but rather the italians that Juve tends to build on are usually some of the best (DP, old Zambro, old Canna, Buffon, Chiellini, now marchisio, hopefully giovinco, etc). You could go back decades if necessary. I get what your saying.

Your my boy, Blue.
even if you look at current successufl dominating teams like Barca and man u, you'll see a lot of domestic talent as part of the core.

From a column supposedly written by ex Napoli Sporting Director Pierpaolo Marino:

Prandelli for Juve, as Juve have been too slow to move for Benitez and he has chosen to go back to Spain.

Meetings coming up between Juve and Palermo for Kjaer.

Inter trying to sign Ranocchia and get a first option on Bonucci in the next week or so.

Market is quite quiet just now because teams are focused on the Scudetto race or battling for the last CL spot.

kjaer>>>>>>>>>rannochia..

kjaer was imperious against etoo and milito and we didnt even score once against palermo this year

but this will only have a chance of materializing if palermo fail to qualify for europe otherwise zamparini will ask for 50million

i have a feeling we will invest heavy this summer bcuz of how greatly disappointing this season has transformed too after the early expectations that we were gonna be one of the teams to challenge for silverware

I think get Criscito back must be our priorities and if this mission succed we are set in LB area.

the most difficult part for our transfer campaign is to find great RB at good price.

What will your starting back four look like, Oggy?
I never thought too much about that, even it's evident that we need three more defenders and we should only keep Chiellini in starting 11, I highly doubt it. I can't remember when any club did that. Still i would like someone like Kjaer for cb and Ariaudo for backup at least. For the fullbacks I don't have to say anything that hasn't be said. We can keep Caceres or try for Srna and for LB I don't have a clue, maybe Criscito even though I'm not so sure in his abilities or better to be said he is overrated here.

i don't want to get too much into this because i know the haters (not you) are going to come out and spill their hatorade, but juve's, and even milan's foundations have generally been built on a strong core of domestic talent if you look at their most successful spells in europe and domstically.

yeas, i agree we should not buy for the sake of buying, but we need to keep good players in mind. Another thing to keep in mind would be the possibile, however unlikely change of rules to the 6+5 in the future
I'm all for Italian Juve but not at expense of quality. We can call back Ariaudo and try to sign one of Ranocchia or Bonucci since they are supposed to be the next big thing (eve though they will probably finish like Bonera and Ferarri). Also there is always option for Criscito. In midfiled we have some our youths (I think on using Marrone if he proves himself) and we also have Marchisio as an established player and Giovinco if he stays.

But my point was that there are no good quality Italian players on the market and because of that we shouldn't go to buy Pazzini or Acquafresca etc.

Karsic’s agent: “There are offers for him, including Juventus, but he prefers Spain to Italy."
Good. That's a start.
Fuck Spain.

Italy would suit him more IMO.
Then why don't you phone him and tell him that:shifty:

There are italian talents just not many on the market. Should Balotelli come available we should sneak in there. Perfect for our aging attack. Same for Santon. There are others like Bonucci and Ranocchia like you mentioned. It would be nice to steal one of them. Plus the youth that we are producing. Perhaps next season we could use some of them.

We have a very good backbone for our team next year, not just starters but young talented backups that should see plenty of PT next year. Now, we sell some of this deadwood and add that to our transfer budget there is absolutely no reason we can't build a great team for next year.

My fear is players will not leave, aka Poulsen/Tiago last year. They like their fat ass paychecks we give them...two over paid and overrated players right there.

We played some of our worst football against them, it wasn't that impressive to keep us out. Inter also trashed them 5-3 earlier this season.

And this?

He has been overrated too much, he's good and can improve but definitely not finished. Same with Ranocchia, he was rated too early and the rumours came flooding in after half a season (even though I'd prefer him, Italian fanboy!!!!!1!1!123).

Kjaer is more convincing than Ranocchia and already has time at the back for Denmark. Just because some believe he's better than Ranocchia doesn't make him overrated.

I dsigree, we need forward who can create chances for themselves and for others.

our team, and diego would be so much better if Diego had a 10 years younger del piero, hell even the del piero of 2 season ago playing next to him..

that's precisely why we suck now, and used to struggle in Europe...it was Ale running the show, and when he gets shut down then we look toothless...I'd rather we gradually lose the Ale dependence and build a real team now.
