So what's his ass still doing there. He should be in a top club right about now. He was voted best LB in La Liga last year or 2 years ago I think.

    Juve scouts, where are you?

It's gonna be tough to find a good LB if we don't get one of Kolarov or Criscito. Saw Trémoulinas so few times that I can't really judge him. Same with Depor's Filipe.
Might be an idea to wait and see how he is if/when he recovers from this:

And Criscito is decent. He would, to me, be the safe option for left back.

No doubt there are better players out there, but Criscito would be a solid choice.

2 seconds from joining Barca in the summer, but they, deportivo board, changed price demands 3 times on Barca, 2 times Barca complied with them upping the price, but when at the last second after delaying for ages, Depor upped it to 20m this time, Barca got the hint and said fvck it, signed Maxwell instead. Deportivo clearly didnt want to sell him, Barca was up for 15m+, but not to be dicked around unprofessionally like that (Filipe was bitching like a kid over it in first couple of weeks of the season).

And as Red shows, he is very unfortunate in being severely injured. The timing was bit off, because Real Madrid was litterally days away from signing him, even in the middle of the season, they wanted to secure him for the frenzy of the summer. Its funny, them wanting to pay big bucks for him, because he was in Reals reserve/castilla team, before he made his name. They discarded him without giving him any chance.

Interesting. My guess is that if he comes back in shape then they could still go after him and leave us looking for Pasqual. :snoop:

Zarate's development has stagnated over the past year or so, he really hasn't improved at all. Still the selfish ball hog he always was.

Forget Lazio being a joke, i can understand if his dip in form was due to his team being shit. But no, he is one of the reasons Lazio are shit, his decision making is really poor, he always chooses to dribble even when the situation calls for a simple pass. Actually he has been benched a few times by Reja, who favors a frontline of Rocchi and Flocarri. Though they all played together last time around.

selfish ball hog...sounds like a 100% spot on judgment to me.
I was a fan and still am a fan of his talent, he is undeniably an extremely talented player, but his decision making and his teamwork has not improved one bit, despite being in his second season with Lazio now.

He could be a devastating player if nurtured properly, which is why i'd love it if we bought him despite his obvious deficiencies.
