Here you can post articles/multimedia you find interesting regarding any science, with science defined very freely. Physics, biology, chemistry, geography, linguistics, history, psychology, economy...It's all good.

I'll start off with something very light: string theory (please, no cheesy jokes). Actually, it's one of the world's most complex theories, fully understood by only a few people, but in this documentary it's explained on a very basic level in an almost childish manner:

    I've read about string theory a couple of times but never quite caught onto the concept.
    I noticed that forum, but I thought it would fit in better under Off Topic in general, since Technology is too specific, but if you want you can move it there.

    The basic concept is that the most fundamental particle (of both matter and energy) is a string that can vibrate in 10 spatial dimensions.
