Its something I constantly try to avoid by reading as much as I can. Everything I've read and know about the russian education system and political situation suggests to me that you've been lied to....a lot. Maybe you should leave russia for a while and learn elsewhere for a bit.

Prinosers of gulag were building railroads, roads, were building cities and it were people of many nations, prisoners of nazi camps mostly were jewish and they were tortured to death by torture, gas chambers, medical experiments and starvation etc. you can't compare holocaust with gulag
