On that note, what do we think about the prospect of the All-Star game being US vs World? It'd obviously be a close match now, at least the first 5 are clearly in World's favour but evens out more over a roster.

US will always have crazy depth. I'd add in Embiid (if he feels Cameroonian on the day. Same goes for Paolo Turncoat), Porzingis, Gobert, Markkanen, Anunoby, Zubac, Avdija, Giddey and maybe Hachimura, to make it more representative.
