They say that 70-80% of NFL and NBA pros go broke after a few years after retirement. And they make millions on top of millions...damn son.

Is this true?
To be fair to NFL players, they make way less on average, and rosters being so big, the guys at the end of the roster aren’t making millions a year, and have very short careers in general.

I believe the stat is like 60% for NBA players and 75% for NFL players.

A lot of it has to do with many of these players earning high wages for only 3-4 years in their 20s and not understanding that they have to live a lifetime on it. It’s no excuse but it’s one of the big reasons.

Lose at home to the Magic, beat the Rockets on the road.

I dont get it
No AD. 9 game winning streak. Mid season doldrums. Went down big, ~20 pts twice in the game, but couldn't quite make the comeback. We're going have the occasional blip. That was our first loss of the entire season against sub .500 team. Our starters were just cold shooting, which is funny, because Quinn Cook and Troy Brown finally had a great shooting game together for us, both were on fire. But shit happens. Nice to see us respond and smash the Rockets.

He was awesome. Glad to see the kid recovering. Didn't deserve to have his career wrecked by that random shoulder injury.

Easier to look good and less pressure on the Pistons, unfortunately. But the team is improving.
The team is fine, it could be better with a small trade or two, and some FA pickups before playoffs begin. But its still a bit annoying losing some of these youngsters for literally nothing. Zubac and Svi come to mind 1st, who both if nothing else, could have been valuable trade assets

he’s a monster. Had an incredible game and did it all while his tooth got knocked out. They put something in the water in the land down under.

I hope the Lakers fans in this forum watched the game.
He had a great game. We’ll see how the game in LA goes as you guys are next to unbeatable at home this year and can’t win for shit on the road so far. Unfortunately for you, you may be stuck playing every playoff series on the road if you don’t fix that little issue. Good luck with that.

Reminds me of that Magic team in the 90s. They were 39-2 at home and 20-21 on the road :howler:

The GOAT

This is some scary shit, Air and Dream as teammates:

Most dominant duo ever if it happenend, 80s would look different if they played together
The 80s? You must mean the 90s.
