He is losing at Real because he is trying to take a team of out of control superstars and bring them under control.

no we are talking about tactics, when liverpool came to delle alpi to defend a 2-1 lead he played a similar game as he did at anfield, we had no attacking threat or creativity and we seemed in no hurry to get on the score sheet, he even said before the game he would not panic and try to score an early goal. Also the same happened against arsenal only to a greater extent, we were 2-0 down and he didnt adjust his tactics, we created nothing in the delle alpi and were also very lucky not to lose, so we are talking about overall tactics and that is what i meant by under pressure.

They were not different systems. The players moved within the 442 to accomodate attack and defense. More fluidity yes. Formation no. Better players yes. Different tactics no.

Lippi changes his tactics thats why he is the superior manager to Crap.

Lippi used a different system for italia than he did for juve in 1996, zizou era and his recent stind.

it was a clear difference tony, explain to me how lippi allowed zizou to play in a free role behind the front two yet allow dp, rava and vialli upfront together?

Ok, but what if we would have attacked and got caught out of position. You can't say that attacking would have changed the fate. That is just assumption.

It is not a formation change or a tactical change. The ability of the players allowed for a different setup in the attacking zone. I could ask how the formation was different in the defensive zone then.

sometime when you attack you get caught out of position BUT WE NEEDED TO SCORE and we will not score through defence so sometimes a coach needs to take a risk! we were 2-0 down against arsenal meaning we had to score 2 goals to take it to extra time, we were going out so if you take a risk and it doesnt pay off your out but if it does you stay in, if you dont take a risk your out either way

With zizou at playmaker, conte and davids either were tucked in to support zizou or covering with tachi.

When neddy was here,he drifted from wide to narrow areas allowing for rambo to go forward. Camo also drifted, however he kept at least one DM depending on the game.

Yes, but I don't see how that is a tactical or formation change. I just see the players (based on skill) moving more freely in the attacking zone because of the coach. It is the same system, with different players in it.

1. Im a fan of juve whether you like it or not. Juve are my team and you cant question that.

So, going back to the basis of this argument. Sneijder as an attacking CM, to me (as I said in the beginning) would be an OK addition to the team, but we would need a very good DM to cover for him. I prefer him at LM, with Chiellini helping him out.

if you would have asked me before the game what to do i would have said the same thing and i did say the same thing, hindsight is wonderful, but it is not the reason i am making these points.
It only takes someone remotely sensible to realise that when you are 2-0 down you need to go out and get goals.
i can understand about the liverpool game as we only needed one goal to go through because we already had an away goal, but the arsenal game was a poor tactical decision by crapello
