Oh it's not a "greatest achievement in sports" list but a best run franchise list. Now I get it. It makes sense once you read how they make the list.

    If one wants a ranking for the best club teams in all of sports over the past 20 years, you should look no further than the Lakers, Bulls, Patriots, Red Wings, and a couple club teams from Europe. That's about it.

    ESPN is a joke.

    I mean, it makes sense when you look at what they measure. But how do you measure fan treatment and honesty and loyalty to the community? And the other stuff? It's a silly list.

    They should have just based it on financial and competitive success.

    It focusses on the business aspect of franchises and how they are run in America. That should have been obvious. I read the article in ESPN The Magazine.
