I hope it ain’t the case here but truth is that the only way we are splashing that kind of transfer fee on anyone is if we are sure of finalizing an important sale ourselves.

I think it depends on Rabiots renewal. And you don't pay top bucks for a non-starter. So it's about deciding if Rabiot is a starter. Given Rabiot stays he will be one of the #8. The other #8 is where I could see Fagioli play. Not sure if we are confident enough that he will be a starter. Otherwise Locatelli could play there if not in the #6 role. I'm assuming the targets like Thuram etc are all for the #6 role
