Finland's best achievement was fourth place in 1973, they are always in the last places.
Indeed, it has been a national trauma for us. But now we won! Heheh :D

In your face you seminaked women with your awful plastic pop songs. Luckily no cheesy ballad won either.

Thank you Lordi, a well deserved victory.

why is italy not in euro vision shit.. do they fear italians could cheat ;) I guess the way must be free for italy now as moggi can not phone free anymore :D
Italy won it in 1992 (I think it was 1992) with Toto Cotugno and then decided: "Yeah... so... we're not gonna do this anymore. See ya"

Belgium and Holland might follow; only last time they won was in the '70s :D

Well, for the record, they are not satanists, they do not worship devil and the lead singer is a Christian. It was a rock/heavy song so naturally the lyrics aren't about "world peace". It's so easy to prejudiced (not that I mean you Lilianna).

I thought the Greek song was amongst the best and so was the Bosnia Herzegovina song too.

Actually IIRC they dropped Eurovision because of the excessive use of the English language,
they think (and they probably are right) that their langauge is the most beutifull language in the world
and every nation oughts to sing their language since countries that use English as a native language would have a tremendous avantage compering to the rest...

I was too young anyway to precisely remember any details,
i remember the tallks but not the persons,
but thats what an Italian friend told me...

Politics along with nationalism is the ugliest disease in this world, it kills everything it touches, and Eurovision is one of the examples, the idea is great for anyone who loves Music and cultures, but it is far away of that idea..
