I wasn't being serious
It is enought that you mentioned it. And not being serious about something usually is followed by a smiley. Actually you post a smiley on all your posts almost, why not on that one? Because you were serious.

Not even you wish your team loses, but you run away from your OWN nationality.
Exactly.. People like that disgust me, TBH..

..and what you have to understand, for those who don't know already, is that we Bahrainis in general are incredibly proud and nationalistic.. nothing would hurt and enrage us more than to strike us there..

Actually I don't understand why would someone say he is or she is from another country. According to your patriot friend here, he said he did that to be more understood....go figure.

I think it's more because of shame than anything... (which I think is utter bollocks)

..and from what I've seen, he refuses (or probably doesn't even KNOW much) to speak Arabic

He thinks that Bahrein isn't great place and that we will not be impressed by his country
WTF kind of attitude is that? Why does he even care what people think about him?

I'm a Bahraini, and more often than not I've heard, "Bahrain? What's that?", than, "Oh, Bahrain! Cool!", but I'm still god dammned proud of my country, and I wouldn't have it any other way..

    Besides, it's effing beautiful here..
