Just admit it… you only want him so that he can flop and then be easily benched for the rest of the season by one of Fagioli, Miretti or Rovella in that role.

Paredes is far from being a proven regista, hope that we skip on him unless it’s a direct swap for Arthur.

Both are garbage. We should not be looking for an experienced regista or a regista at all, but the stubborn mule Allegrisaurus only knows how to play that way I suppose. He can't evolve and has to have his fucking garbage demands met.

many european side play with deep lying playmaker. The difference is, they aren't always in the midle of the three. Some play in mezzalla position.
Kroos, Gundogan, F. De Jong, Brozovic, Tonali, verratti, kovacic all are good/great deep lying playmaker type players eventhough not all play center.

I don't really rate paredes too
I rate Zakaria high as defensive mid but his fitness is in question
While Locatelli more suitable as dynamic box2box rather than a DLP. He is good as regista but just ok

If we sign Zaniolo/pulisic adding to Di Maria, mean we need more muscle in midfield
I don't mind locatelli as a regista

But if we sign Kostic or another same characteristic player instead, we need more creativity in midfield. So regista is the solution.
