Sell McKennie for plusvalenza, replace his position on the team with Fagioli/Miretti/Rovella.
Agree. I'd offload Arthur before mckennie though, and rabiot as well. Question, do you think we can get away with 5 midfielders for the 3 midfield positions and if so, who would those 5 be? Lastly, if 5 midfielders is the number, is there room for both rovella and fagioli? Both would get plenty of playing time, one would think anyway.

McKennie was too expensive for the player he is. He makes good runs and attacks the box well so he is useful but he is too limited on the ball. Misplaced too many easy passes.

If someone does make a good a offer for him sell.

:yuck: :inter: Waste of money then - nothing new from management.
Yeah, Paratici didn't cover himself in glory.

McKennie is not too much of a waste imo as he is pretty useful. But he is simply not good enough to be an important player and right now we need more important players, or at least players with the talent to become important.

With Zakaria here McKennie is a bit redundant. If we are going to have a young midfield to attack the box why not give that role to Fagioli for a trial. He seems to have much more vision and technique to warrant a more exciting test.

Kessie, Barella, Sergej, Zielinski, Pellegrini the rest of the top 6 has a better attacking midfielder than McKennie. We should be looking to improve on him if Paratici wants to help out again.

I like McKennie but honestly would not be opposed. Pogba, Locatelli, Zakaria, Fagioli, Miretti

Still need 1 mid, if we playing a 3 man mid
This is way too thin, especially when the star midfielder missed 72 matches in the last 3 seasons due to various ankle and hamstring injuries. I think we need 2 more mids on top of this, not just one, and one has to be a proven one.

The American is versatile and hard working, a very useful squad member. Also, he always gets into good goal scoring positions which makes him top of our midfield.

And that’s why our coach is a nursing home clown.
Max prefers him further forward b/c he is our only mid that can attack into the box. Last mid we had that could do that was Marchisio.

Just shows how badly Paratici built this team. Bought player X for position Y but ends up playing position Z because no other player fits that bill.

yes - which is why we don't see him play deeper in the CDM role.

In what kind of role does Weston play for the USMNT?

I'd get rid of every single midfielder from Pirlo's season. That's where all our problems started. All of Ramsey, McKennie, Arthur, Rabiot, Bentancur have proven unworthy and dumb.
And I'd replace them all for a single midfielder who can control the tempo of the game. Like Pirlo did, like Pjanic did, like the Real midfielders are doing.

Easier said than done especially in a dysfunctional team and Real Madrid are basically still relying on their same midfielders for the past 7-8 years shows how difficult it is to find midfielders that complement each other.
