Why Rusty Doris? He's really nothing special, a mini Jabroni in the making. I honestly see no star quality in him.

We also need to reinforce the midfield and LB positions (assuming Gatti will be our reinforcement @ CB, coming in for the retiring Chiellini).

But the Anti B81 Mercato means you'll be siding with Sadass Virginio. Is that what you really want Bro? Is this the future you envisage for yourself and your family? :sigh:

i'd love to have zaniolo as a depth option as he's a tank and an occasional game changer, but as an expensive signing for the starting lineup? dude has shown zero consistency, he's relatively easy to dispossess, he's a particularly weak passer, and he doesn't defend. it's not even about the risks of an other long injury layoff.

crippled dybala >>> healthy zaniolo, and it's not even close unfortunately. i have no idea why we won't take hamed instead. he's been a pretty good makeshift winger lately and can play multiple positions effectively. yes, he's a little cunt and not a physical beast, otherwise he's a better and cheaper option.
I don't see Hamed as a makeshift winger, he is a winger. He has just found his true position now. As a CM he is mediocre and even as an AM he's mostly pretty average.

Flushing the money we save on Dybala for Rusty Doris would be a bad bet I agree. Zaniolo is more ‘special’

Raspadori gives me Di Natale vibes. Player for smaller teams, I don't see him as a starter for a big club aiming for biggest titles, but Sassuolo will price him that way for sure.

He doesn't have killer pass. He has pace, power, dribling but average in passing. Maybe that is why he is a good winger. A good and affordable option. But i think management don't intend to lose their face after ignoring his buy option last summer.

Di Maria is welcome, short term solution, most likely not tot expensive due to the tax benefits and his age. He’ll bring some important experience to the attack.

I said it yesterday in the other thread, at the moment this is my preferred attack:

Chiesa - Vlahovic - Zaniolo
Soule - Morata - Di Maria

The downside of it is having 3 lefties, but with Cuadrado in the squad of course.

he's still very young, i don't think we can judge his mentality this early. my biggest concern with him is his position. he's average on the wings, very good in the middle, but he's a seconda punta, and we're not playing with one. (see the recurring "dybala as a tactical headache" topic.)

I didn't mean his mentality, have no clue about that, just in terms of talent.

He cannot play as a winger in Allegri's system IMO and he's not talented enough to change formations and move other players around just for him.

Fine player, seems ideal to come off the bench IMO, but he will be way too expensive for that.
