Acerbi after two years of worth nothing anymore, he’ll most likely retire. Rugani might still be our 4th CB after 7 years.

There players at that age who are that good that we shouldn’t ignore them if a opportunity arise. Ramos, Modric, Di Maria etc. The others are just short term panic options.
Perisic isn’t a panic option

He’s okay, had 3 good season starting from the year on loan at Bayern. But a 33 y/o and a 34 y/o for the same department is a bridge to far for me.
Similar to Cuadrado, Perisic is used more as a wingback in the last 2 years and I am pretty sure that he would be taking Alex Sandro's position if he joins. Di Maria would join as an attacking winger.

Signing 3 players of 33+ is to short sighted, don’t see any sustainability in all of it.
He’s been a solid, dependable, hard-working good player for years. And signing a couple solid 33-34 year old wingers on free transfers with short term contracts is perfect this summer. It allows us to invest in midfield, wingbacks, and defense. Where we need heavy investment immediately. Allows us to put off buying top young wingers for a couple more years, and let’s us see what we have in Soule, Ake, and other youngsters in the B team. I see Perisic and Di Maria both coming on 2 year contracts as perfect.

Versatile wide player who can play as a LB, LWB, LM, or LW attacker. He’s a perfect short term signing.

Absolutely perfect. Can you imagine the service a healthy Chiesa, Di Maria and Peresic can give Vlahovic or morata (if he stays as a CF)?

much needed experience and calmness on the field plus Peresic is a hard worker we need a player like that

Now I understand the plan:
1-Get Perisic and Di Maria on a free to invest in other areas.
2-Get Pogba on a free and recall Fagioli and/or Rovella from loan to invest in other areas.
3-Swap Rugani for Acerbi and recall Gatti from loan to invest in other areas.
4-Get Emerson Palmieri or Udogie and there you go.

Guys short term thinking is what brought us here. Perisic 6m, Di Maria 7m, Acerbi ~2/3m (I guess). It’s a investment of what, 50m in gross wages in two years? Ignoring potential signing fees.

Let’s not overdo it.
No, free signings and shrewd market signings brought us glory under beppe.
Only now we are bringing proven winners for free and not Rabiot and Ramsey level players

Shit source, but we do need few experienced players, few only though, not every signing.

Background - In recent days Paul #Pogba also spoke on the phone with Max #Allegri who illustrated the centrality of his project for the new #Juventus . A phone call with those of the Juventus managers much appreciated by the French ... #calciomercato

Touché

I think I only want the first to happen. But none of us know how much we have to spend this summer. I’m still hoping for SMS or similar level CM purchase, top LB, and top CB like Bremer. Which is why Perisic and Di Maria would be fantastic imo. Good, solid hard worker in Perisic and a still world class on his day Di Maria. Two year contracts would be ideal. I’d rather short term skimp on our wingers and fix our midfield finally

No it’s not a panic option. It’s to replace Rugani.
Rugani is a 4th choice CB earning 3m a season.
