Do you think that if we offer 50-60M + Pjaca + Sturaro, would Lazio sell us or at least be interested into selling us SMS?
I dont think Pjaca has what it takes and based on his abilities he could be a 40m player..
Stu is 10m so overall its like paying 100m
I dont think Lazio would be interested in Pjaca but Im all for it..

Anthony Martial considers move to Juventus with Manchester United future in doubt.

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/...h-manchester-united-future-in-doubt-5pt7h7mgk
Anthony Martial is interested in a move to Juventus after the Italian club made the unsettled Manchester United forward their top transfer target.

Juventus, the Serie A leaders, and Bayern Munich, the German champions, are set to go head to head in the race for Martial’s signature this summer.

Martial is likely to be given a rare run-out in United’s Premier League match away to Bournemouth tonight but his long-term future at the club appears bleak. He has started four of the 13 games United have played since they signed Alexis Sánchez, which effectively made the Frenchman José Mourinho’s third choice on the left side of United’s attack, behind the Chilean and Marcus Rashford.

Martial is refusing to sign a new deal until he gets assurances from Mourinho that he will play more often, but the manager says that the player must earn the right to start games.

It is understood that Martial was disappointed at not having the chance to discuss a move to Arsenal in January, when the London club raised the possibility of including the forward in the swap deal that led to Henrikh Mkhitaryan leaving Old Trafford instead.

Bayern would also be an attractive proposition for Martial, but their interest in him is thought not to be as strong as that of Juventus. Martial’s cousin Jéma expressed his annoyance at Mourinho on Twitter, pointing out that the Portuguese sold Kevin De Bruyne and Mo Salah while at Chelsea.

He tweeted: “It’s impossible to progress under this coach’s orders. Too many examples prove it. If you see the last two years and the past with Salah, De Bruyne or Lukaku at Chelsea, I don’t invent. I think that for young players who can improve he’s not the good one. Just a view.”
The Times is legit I think. But if he comes, he would be expensive and somebody of value would be leaving.

I can't recall if the buyout is 25 or 35.

Obviously my dream is SMS, but that's doubful and we definitely need to lower the age of our squad/midfield. Seems like an easy buy (ala Pjanic)...here is the check, welcome to Juve. He is Italian, young, has a reasonably high ceiling that could turn out well for us so in all honesty from the boards perspective it seems to make sense. 25m, I say do it. If the buyout is 35m I'd hold off to make sure we have money for other upgrades (especially with the LB/RB spots). We definitely need a WC midfielder in here so adding Can and Pellegrini for 25m is shrewd business which hopefully leaves us with more money to splash as needed.

The buyout is 25m. I'm honestly all for this move, and I would try to sell Sturaro while we are at it.

Stu seems fine playing literally at the end of the pecking order. Keep him if he is OK with it unless we can get a decent chunk from say, EPL. No one in Italy will pay much for him.

Also, there is this:

Italian duo chase Atleti's Vrsaljko
By Football Espana staff

Atletico Madrid defender Sime Vrsaljko is a target for Italian duo Juventus and Napoli but the player’s agent 'does not know if Atleti will sell’.

Giuseppe Riso has spoken on his client’s future, with the Croatian defender – who previously played in Italy with Sassuolo – in high-demand with the title chasing sides.

“Right-back is the most sought-after role in the world,” Riso pointed out on Radio Crc.

“Napoli and Juve are looking for right-backs, but that’s the case pretty much everywhere in Europe and that’s why he didn’t leave in January.

“Sime loves Italy, but the Premier League is fascinating for everyone. I don’t know if Atletico will sell him though, they’d have to find a replacement and that’s not easy.”

Vrsaljko was previously linked with a move to Napoli in January

@AlexJvuentino

Also, CM has another story (rumor lol) for Bryan Cristante...I can see that happening as well.

Adding a bunch of young guns like that will bring some growing pains next year but if Sami/Marchisio stick around that will help...long run should be good.

Cuadrado is still very effective. I would never say otherwise, definitely he finds himself laying it off a lot more than before than trying to beat the defender.
He definitely doesn't have the pace to run at defenders anymore, but he can make those sneaky back post runs or string in some crosses (getting better).

honestly, I'd like it more if we went for a 60m midfielder + gave Mandragora a chance rather than sign 2 30m midfielders, even if there is a good supply of those in Serie A.

Martial would be a fantastic signing.
We have our Boeing 747 leaving the gate as our ST (higuian), would be nice to have a couple f-22 as escorts on each side (Martial/Costa)

Well, for 25m, I don't think that will hurt us much, that's why I'm hesitant for 35m. We REALLY need a WC midfielder.

But, like I said: we seem to want to add a bunch of younger CM's at one time which is going to bring growing pains as they develop (probably all at different paces). Long term, could be very smart having a core of young CM's develop together.

well it's probably the smart choice to go for 2 promising ones if the market cannot offer any already developed players, but if we have any choice to get players who are already ready for the big stage we should, as we already have several midfield projects going on - Mandragora, Bentancur and probably someone more low profile I'm forgetting

from the rumored Serie A prospects, Cristante is my favorite, seems perfect for Allegris needs at RCM - intelligent positioning, good in the air, chips in with his fair share of goals and assists

He could do well but I don't see him as a difference maker. Him or Can PLUS a top mid would have been better.

Italian Jabroni @Xperd that'll eat up €25m of our slim budget and won't take us any further.

Imo We have plenty of good (worldclass on their day) mids already, what's missing is a top class CM, not a Pellegrini. But he's a young italian with a buyout clause, so we have to buy.

Cavani-Dybala makes more sense in my head than Higuain-Dybala, if we can swap Argentina for Uruguay I don't mind. If Higuain stays, Cavani makes no sense.
