I totally get people being degenerates. The stuff I was yelling yesterday watching the game would have gotten me arrested in most countries. But at our own players? Again. Example being if we referred to a Latino player exclusively as spic. Or worse off. Imagine she shit people would call benatia. But not just when mad. At all times. We're better than that.

Back on topic. Cause I like to lurk and watch yo guys fight over dumb ass things. Can the gurus come back and actually guru? I keep thinking about this team this year and need to believe that once Ramos, pique, Messi, Iniesta, Ronaldo generation dies off we will have more parity in Europe.
Also biggest winner of the last off season? Senor Dani alves. That guy bet on himself and wanted to go to a real contender. Let's give up a slow clap to that guy on a team that got embarrassed by the same team we rallied against. True champion.

:howler: Lumping that sack of shit in with a bunch of vastly superior players; I also like how you failed to capitalize his name :baus:

Capital letters have feelings too man; we gotta be PC about that ;)

Hey guys just a friendly reminder that calling Szczesny a polak is quite insulting. It's a pejorative term for a polish person in English. It's like calling cuadrado a spic instead his name or nickname. Given that a) he's our player and he's not bad so we have no reason to be mad at him, b) I am sure some of you thought it was funny but not actually an insult and mostly, c) everyone here is a reasonably nice human being. I vote we stop that shizz.
Also. If you want to make fun of his name, know it LITERALLY means "lucky."

Just a thought.

@piotrr can you confirm, is polak an insult towards people inhabiting Poland?

Polak/Polack is defo being used in a negative way by some English finest citizens but in Poland Polak literally means 'Pole' (Polish person).

Depends if you use it as a 'fucking polak' or in a neutral/positive way i guess. :D
ok, thanks, so it's safe to use in areas where there is no tension around Polish people :D

This Jean Michael Seri from Nice would be another option for defensive midfield. Seems to be il nuovo Kanté.

He has a contract until 2019. Is he supposed to leave Nice? EPL maybe?

how many fullbacks do we have for next season?

right: licht's contract expires in 2 months, ds stays
left: asamoah's contract expires, sandy is expected to be sold, spazzolino (@DAiDEViL) arrives

we'll still have barza, cuadrado and stu who can play right back in case of emergency, but still, that makes 2 certain players (ds, spina), who aren't supposed to be starters for any club with cl-aspirations, right?

I mean it in a neutral way, I could say Pole as well but Polak sounds better to me..
Anyway since I got the feedback of the rest of the forum that it depends on the way you say it more than the word itself I guess I`ll continue with Polak..

And what has Alex Sandro done to prove he is worthy of starting for us this season? I'm more than happy to give Spazzolino a chance, as long as he stays fit, plays in a motivated fashion, knows how to defend and put the occasional good cross in, he's an immediate improvement on this version of Alex Sandro.
