Juve to return for Madrid's Kovacic
By Football Espana staff

Juventus are set to launch a new bid for Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic this summer, according to reports in the Spanish press.

Diario AS say the Bianconeri are set to return for the central midfielder, despite seeing a €75m offer rejected for the player rejected by Madrid last summer.

The Croatian international joined Los Blancos in the summer of 2015 and has won three Champions League titles among nine trophies in the time period since.

The 24-year-old has started only 37 La Liga games across three seasons and started only 10 in his most recent campaign.

Kovacic joined the Spanish and European champions from Inter in 2015 in a €35m deal, having originally cost the Milanese giants €11m from Dinamo Zagreb.

The player has also been linked to both Milan and Inter alongside German club Schalke.

Kovacic weighs up Madrid future with Juve lurking

Emilio Cobos / Diario As

The midfielder is reportedly waiting to see who the new coach will be and his potential role at the club before making a decision.

Real Madrid's Mateo Kovacic once again comes under the Juventus radar. The Serie A club attempted to sign the Croatian midfielder in the 2017 summer transfer window, offering 75 million euros to take him off Real Madrid's hands. However, the offer was rejected by Real, a decision backed by Zidane.

Bit-part player
After Zidane's surprise departure from the club, Kovacic's future is once again up in the air and AS sources have been told that an immediate move away from Los Blancos is the most likely scenario, particularly if he is to remain a bit-part player. Kovacic sees himself as a regular starter, but last season in Real Madrid's crunch games he only started the first El Clásico - where he failed to convince - the return leg of the Champions League last 16 tie against PSG due to injuries to Modric and Kroos, and the second leg of the semi-final against Bayern in a tactical ploy by Zidane.

New coach
Therefore, before making a final decision the he is keen to see who is brought into the club as head coach and subsequently the role he would have among the squad. While this situation awaits its conclusion, Juventus remain on alert and have already contacted the player, but not the club.

From Spain: Barcelona star tells Suarez Juve want to sign him

    11 June at 13:55
Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has reportedly told Luis Suarez that Serie A giants Juventus are after him.

It is said that the Old Lady are looking to bolster their midfield this summer and a host of players are being eyed in that attempt. Ivan Rakitic has drawn links with Juventus over the last few weeks and there was also talk of an offer from the bianconeri.

Don Balon :)shifty:)say that Rakitic has told Barcelona teammate Luis Suarez that the Old Lady are after him and will make a move for him after the World Cup.

It is said that it will take about 70 million euros for Juventus to sign Rakitic.

So right now our mercato is going to be:
    RB Cancelo
    CM Can
    CM X

Cancelo links are too strong to ignore so I guess we should welcome him
Can - Why hasnt he signed yet?! I mean he left Liverpool so what is he waiting for
CM - It seems we are not set on one particular guy but we have a shortlist that consist of Kovacic Pogba and SMS (maybe more but those are the hot names) - In the end Kovacic sounds like the most realistic one even if none of them is the more realistic scenario..
I personally hope for Pogba as I think he will ignite Dybala the best

Juventus wait for Kovacic | Football Italia

Reports in Spain suggest Juventus are still interested in Mateo Kovacic, but are waiting to see if he pushes to leave Real Madrid.

The Bianconeri have been heavily linked with the Croatian midfielder in the past, but were put off by his €75m price tag.

According to AS today, Kovacic’s impulse at the moment is to leave Los Merengues this summer, potentially opening the door for Juve.

The former Inter man will wait until a new Coach is appointed before making a final decision, as he wants guarantees that he’ll start more regularly.
    €75M? For what?? What bullshit.

Then you should find a new club to support. Very few clubs can get the best players of a CL winning team and even then it happens so few times that it's big news, like the Neymar transfer.

We have a good strategy, find young players with world class potential, give a second wind to former world class players and fill out the squad with a few very good if not spectacular players.
