I don’t understand why we couldn’t just do benatia and higuain for Bonucci. Total operation for higuain is 54m, right? They value Bonucci at 40. Benatia is about 25-30. Knock 10m off Higuains asking price. They need to get rid of Bonucci just as much as we need to get rid of higuain. Why are we doing the favor?
Now we’re gonna end up with a pissed off benatia and a fourth string Rugani. That’s...not ideal. What’s gonna stop either of them from putting in a transfer request?

All I was saying is without Higuain, our squad's attack obviously loses quite a lot of depth compared to with him (not compared to last season)
I was not commenting on anything financial, just saying that our squad without Higuain does lack a bit of striker depth because I dont really consider Mandzukic to be striker material anymore. (This is no different from last season where I felt the same - basically if Higuain/Dybala got injured in 17/18 or Ronaldo/Dybala gets injured this coming season, we suddenly lose a ton of goals with no1 in our squad able to even partially replace)
We have a ton of good attacking players. But imagine a match with Mandzukic, Costa and Bernadeschi up front, I don't have any confidence that that line up is enough to win a UCL knockout stage match

I'm sure we shall be playing CL knockout matches without both Dybala and Ronaldo all the time. 
There are so many clubs in the world that should be confident of winning CL knockout matches without their two best players
And
about Mandzukic not being good enough as a backup. Yeah he was real bad against Madrid this year in the QFs and the final last year. Higuain performed so much better

What a bunch on nonsense. Of course when you lose a player you lose depth in his department. That's trivial. That was see even true when we sold Vucinic for 3m. We lost depth but who cares.
If you can't trust Dybala/Ronaldo/Costa/Mandzu/Cuadrado/Berna to carry us then in not sure there's any attacking lineup you would trust.
