I agree to all who said this was a good mercato. I always like to use this social policy rule: average level is as good as our poorest, so in football terms our team is as good as our worst players. so when we remove Rincon and lemina and replace them with bentancur and matuidi, this brings our worst players to others. we'll yeah, we still have Sturaro, but overall we improved.

Been hearing that for years tbh

We're loaning Rogerio to Sassuolo.

Where was he fplaying since he bought him from them in January?
Well not from me you weren't

because in the last 2 Summers we've cut down our spending and unlike 3-4 years ago Buffon and Barzagli are on the brink of retirement/regressing and Chiellini is old and often broken now.

I'd like to think it's because we're waiting for some glorious opportunities in the next year or so but the Neymar deal has further priced WC players far, far out of what we're willing to spend (Without selling a star player obviously)

If the best players go for well over 100M, absolute elite ones look like going for 150-200

The bracket below them I.E the Lukakus of the World are now 70-90M

Average Swansea midfielders go for 40M

We can't get by spending pennies any more. Unless we defy the odds and continually find WC Prospects for 30-40M

Beppe acted like an indígena that just won the lottery with Pogba sale. He went out running to buy expensive crap.

Lets stop the bs and sign players.

Spinazzola to end the mercato

Next year SMS, Devrij, Keita,
Yeah, Spinazzola would turn this 5/10 mercato into a solid 7/10.

1 We bought Higuain last summer.

2 We just bought Matuidi for Swansea midfield price, We bought Matuidi and Berna for 2 Swansea mids.

Caldara will replace Barzagli

Buffon is the only big major question really. Who will we replace him with.

Big money also means good profit with sales, we might sell Dybala for 120-150.

As has been covered multiple times, that was due to us selling a key player for a record fee. I know management said Higuain was not due to Pogba leaving but that's grade A BS.

Net spend is ridiculously low for 2 Summers in a row.

Spending even 300M in one Summer is not impressive if it's covered by 350M worth of sales.

People are so overly critical of the Higuian signing. The logic behind us needing a world clasd CF to make the step up in CL was sound and, that summer, paying higuains release was the only chance juventus realistically had to do that.

I mean for once we actually did cough up the required money to sign a world class player. It is exactly what this club should be doing.

Obviously this summer we had to spread the shekels out across more positions due to formation change and players leaving but ideally, for te future, we should be looking towards more signings like this big money spread across fewer players

Spending more than 3 times our average transfer budget on 29-year-old players who have made close to 0 impact in the CL in their entire career? We should have kept Secco then.

The best way to describe the deal.

Höwedes is by no means a rb. I know he has played there quite a few times but so has Barzagli.. and he is no RB either. He is no threat offensively whatsoever. I would even prefer De Sciglio as a RB then. As a CB backup Höwedes would be fine but that's about it. So please don't let this be true...
