You keep sticking to the 3 reds this season talk like a kid to his favorite toy. At inter he never got sent off. At Milan he only once got sent off, and it was a 92nd minute double yellow. Why is that? Someone getting 3 unjustified reds doesent mean hes a trouble maker, especially since he only had 5 before that in over 300 games in his club and NT career. But if you want to blame a player for a ref being butthurt or a moron, go on

Also what does Balotelli actually do? Maybe im biased and dont see it, but please do explain to me what it is that he does, that hurts his team so much
You keep ignoring it.. This is the whole point why should I not stick to it...

1. ONLY HAD 5 - You see this is the problem - you see it as only while I see it as CF-5 red cards - CF shouldnt make tough tackles from behind (at least not often) - CF usually make this fouls of pushing defenders or jumping on them when try to get a long ball
3 unjustified reds - So you are saying that 3 different refs plot a conspiracy against 1 player named Balotelli
I dont know - If he has matured and is now the "new Balotelli" who is not a trouble maker anymore why does he has 3 reds - 1 I can understand 2 call it coincidence but 3 suggests that maybe there is a reason..
De Rossi has like 12 or 14 reds in his entire career well De Rossi is 33 (7 years older than Balotelli) which means 38 games+CL or EL+CI-injuries so lets say he plays around 40 games a season (not even counting national ones) 7X40=280 games so around double of Balotelli`s amount
Lets say he has 14 reds in about 600 games (+-)
Balotelli has 8 in 300 games(+-)?!
double it and you`ll see he is getting a De Rossi amount of reds AND HE IS CF NOT DM!!!
You are saying yes but this is at the French league and at City - We are Juve.. This is true but what also is true is - in order to get rewarded in stepping up a ladder you first need to prove yourself - 3 reds arent really helping this cause...
Anyway this is pointless as
1.Juve will not sign him
2.He will ask for a wage that is too high for a sub

1. why does it matter if its a CF or not? anyone can get 2 yellows in a match, even GKs. as i said, the only time he got a straight red was this season - for saying something to the ref and a challenge that should have been a yellow - both BS calls. getting 2 yellows 5 times in 300+ matches isnt much, thats one for every 2 seasons for his career
2. yep, check the calls, all BS. one question, why did the "old Balotelli" never get 3 reds in one season? is the new Balotelli "worse" than the one from City? by your logic, hes worse now than he ever was, which clearly isnt the case
3. how many times a season does De Rossi get sent off? i dont even remember the last time it happened, and no one would have remembered the last time Balotelli got sent off either before this season started. you can look at this season as an exception, not a rule
4. we arent gonna not sign a player for getting 3 reds in a season, that would be a retarded reason. Balotelli has proven on the pitch this season that hes regained his form, hes Nices top scorer in only 17 starts and they are qualified for CL next season. and hed come in for free
5. i never claimed we will sign him but doesent mean we shouldnt. hes out of his contract so hed come as a freebie, hes had a great season behind him and his wages arent high (around 2M iirc). in a situation where we play 4231 with only 1 sub for the attacking players on the bench, where we will likely have to sign an expensive addition who can play on the position behind the CF. a scenario when we still need to sign a CM who will also cost 30M atleast (Nzonzi clause is that much, all the other options will be more expensive except for Emre Can probably). a scenario when we still gonna need a backup for Higuain on top of that, there is no one better and cheaper for that role on the market than Balotelli. so if hes willing to come here id jump on the opportunity

Also please mention the racism issue. He will be targeted and you all know that, even more since he will be playing for juve and dragging al the attention of the world.

Just imagine him in a bad day like all top players have, in an away high tier game, , and people start mocking him with silly racist insults like theres no tomorrow.

It would be a matter of time before he gets send off or simply his output goes to zero because of the mental stress of being called who knows what. Obvs his teammates will get annoyed about the insults and lose focus.

it would be a problem that generates outside of the fields and woudl be way more difficult to deal with.

IN summary, we would really need to invest time and the proper enviroment for him, just to see if he is mentally up to it.

Footbalistically speaking, like i mentione dbefore, i dont like the fact that he doesnt like to play CF...and as a winger he has no workload since he doesnt liek to defend

thats an interesting topic, it could affect him in a bad way for sure, but we are known the last couple of years for making mental midgets raise their confidence and dont let it affect their performance. its probably because we have all those leaders in the dressing room, starting from Buffon and all the way to Mandzukic. if there is a club that can make Balotelli a man, its Juventus. besides, he would come in as a backup to Higuain so he would get exposed much less than usual. also, as i already mentioned, we would sign him for free so if he still couldnt handle the pressure the damage to us would be zero

I agree that maybe the only top team where he would work would be here...because if we buy him, it would mean theres is a masterplan behind the buy and we will be planning to give him all the support needed.

The thing is.. is a serious serious gamble. Not sure if even the low price would be worth that gamble.

I really like him as a player and i like his characteristics even with all his negatives (footbball negatives)....the thing is that the games he has played like a real WC player are waaaay to far and between.

I really dont know.. i would be an interesting project if on the cheap, because he is talented no doubt and still young. A high risk high reward move...because if we finally fix him and he sets himself as a WC talent at last...we would have gotten a bargain. An italian top player for peanuts...

... but the risks are sky high. not sure if it is worth taking into account all what he has been thru.

i dont think the risks are that high, to me it looks like there would be no risks involved at all. 1st off, hes a freebie, so he wont affect the rest of our mercato in any way. 2nd, we are pretty much without a vice Higuain right now, the guy plays every game and never even gets subbed out. having some scrub like even Bentdner or Anelka on the bench would actually help us a lot in terms of resting our forward line, not to mention someone as talented as Balo. weither its him or someone else, we should sign some CF to rest Higuain every now and then, and i dont see someone as good (and at the same time as cheap) as Balo on the market.

so if we sign him, there would be 2 possible scenarios - he succeeds in his new role of a backup CF - we both profit. Balotelli would have proven that he can work at the top level and at a big club and we would have gotten a 26 yo italian CF for free, who when at his best can be a starter for the NT. the other scenario - he flops - he doesent adapt to us, plays poorly whenever we use him, doesent work in training and is pulling a Vidal (drinking and nightlife, though i doubt he would here). we still lose nothing really. we have Higuain at CF, and Mandzukic who can play there, as well as a young Kean kean to get on the pitch and play. we sell him in the summer and thats it. no one gains, no one loses.

id say offer him a 2+1 contract in the summer and see how it goes

This is my main squad next season.

Buffon

Alves Bonucci Chiellini Sandro

Tolisso Marchisio Khedira/Pjanic

Dybala Douglas Costa or Alexis Sanchez

Higuain

Costa is more realistic than Sanchez (younger, not happy with playing time, good relationship with Bayern)

Tolisso is tailor made for Juve

Verratti is a nice dream, but I'd rather not think about it too much.

According to FI we are after Schick, and will pay his release clause (25m). Could be a very interesting CF and 25m now a days is not much.

You expect DM to mark hard tackle when needed and sometimes he has to be the guy that is holding a guy back to break the counter - DM are much more prone to cards.. CF sometimes goes aggressive on defenders which may result in a yellow card but the amount of DM tackles are way higher than a CF tough foul!

We should go for:
  • Bernardeschi (Berardi)
  • De Sciglio (Darmian)
  • Donnarumma (Meret)
  • Verratti
Great mercato IMO
Verratti is everyone`s dream Donnarumma will be Gigi`s heir here De Sciglio could be a nice backup and Bernardeschi has great potential+already very good
Not crazy about the bracket guys..

Just saw it and 25M could be overpaying but could be underpaying - Still not sure about this guy - He can score as he has shown but is he more lucky or more talented?! Watched him a few times but its hard to decide
