Doubt we're changing formation again imo.

Just looking to add a bit more physicality and defensive prowess to our rather fragile midfield.

With N'Zonzi protecting the back 4, it could allow Pjanić to roam a bit more freely and be a bit more involved in attacking plays.

I'm all for building on the 4-2-3-1 with N'Zonzi - Pjanic holding. Marchisio and Khedira on their current form/ability are the sort of great back up players we need. But not starters. Problem is keeping them satisfied, Khedira in particular.

But, to do this we need to really invest in our wingers. Costa is fine, if he's coming here with a shall we say better winger to play on the other side.

If not, it'd be easier to go back to a 4-3-1-2 imo. Buy 1 top playmaker, which is a fairly common position. And find a young, Italian back up player that can play there. Good enough to deputise for the CAM and not likely to want to leave as long as he gets some minutes.


Or maybe Pjaca? I know he's a winger but maybe he has the skills to be a poor mans Kaka type player.

Yeah it still sucks, but we could at least go all in for James since United interest has cooled and there's not much to PSG rumours, or try unsettle some others like Eriksen.

If there's even 2 top wingers out there that are available, they'll cost more than any CAM.

It's a moot point though, we'll probably get Costa and maybe 1 more on the cheap and call it a day if the rumours are based on truth.

Juve terminated Llorentes contract so he could go to Sevilla for free, so I'm sure something will get done and juve won't have to pay the full release clause. Maybe something like 25m +bonus.
