Game, Set, Match!

P.S: Don't ever doubt me and Red.
Ever!
Totally worthless, that 5 league goals is above 28 league goals.

What about frigging mediocre Kaka being over Ibra who been twice the player. Or Rooney> Drogba, Torres and Villa? Game set and...? I'll let you finish :p

Well Ian, you switched over to Barca after years of being a Juventus fan. That looks rather weak on your part.

But to label other fans "jealous" you switched alliances like you did is rather... funny. It doesn't make any sense coming from you.
Bollocks to your simple viewpoint. It's not as if I ever wasn't a fan of Barcelona. In fact, Barca was always a club that was dear to my heart. I didn't so much "switch alliances" as stop supporting Juventus for well-documented and (IMO) legitimate reasons. It's not as if I'm going to stop supporting football because Juve let me down, so I started supporting Barcelona primarily, which was convenient living here and all. Also, I "switched alliances", as you say, well before the Guardiola era, so it's hard to call that bandwagoning.

Don't worry about him brother he is a hypocritical clown. Ian is basically the WORST sort of fan one can come across.
And that's the bit. I am the worst kind of fan you could come across, because I know the game and I don't blindly follow like an Ultra. I understand that you obviously feel personally insulted by my decision, but I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't assume my motivation or intentions. Furthermore, you discredit yourself by calling me a douchebag, idiot, and clown for doing something, which may be hypocritical or disloyal to you, but certainly has no bearing on my friendliness, mental faculty, or fashion sense...

PS. thanks, snoop and others, for weighing in on my behalf.

Ian, I hear what you are saying. But your professed support now for Barca, whether intentional or not, is not exactly helping your credibility and your reasoning. Any neutral could tell you that -- and not just Juve ultras.

You can try to diminish that fact by saying you supported them before the Guardiola era. But it's not like Barca in 2005 was a real stretch for any wide-eyed 8-year-old with half an imagination either. Over the past decade, Barca has been one of the four most over-exposed and over-promoted clubs on television and any other media coverage -- at least here in the States.

Everybody is entitled to support whoever they want. And that includes even despising Juve if you wanted. But if you supported Bordeaux, for a counter example, I think you'd get a lot more slack than you get waving the Barca flag around these parts.

Otherwise it's a bit naive to start waving around a relatively new Barca flag in an old Juve forum and expect people to respect you for that. Even if you think you're only guilty "by association". Because a Juve fan like me sees one silver lining in calciopoli: shedding all the dead weight of fair-weather, gloryhound fans who only came out and showed their colors when it was convenient. People who wanted to celebrate Zlatan Ibrahimovic goals but couldn't give a rat's ass about Juve's past history -- struggles and failures included. As such, your turn of coats only feeds that stereotype.

Of course, Barca has a lot of true blue fans. But they are also packed to the rafters with these gloryhounds too.

@BarcaGloryhunterForLife:

I'm not personally insulted. Not at all; why would I be insulted by another person's idiocy? There are plenty of folks to go around. But rather, my personal opinion of you is that you're a moron -- if all Juventus supporters were like you, the club would be gone.

Now, if Barcelona is caught in some sort of unsavory affair, will you move on to another club, or choose the hypocritical path?

Either way, you lost all the credibility you once had. And I, for one, do not respect you as a football fan.

I don't expect people to respect me for that. Why would anyone respect someone for such an insignificant thing? Furthermore, I couldn't care less if people hate barcelona or me. However, I have always and will continue to point out irrationality and ignorance where it persists.

Why should I be less credible to talk about La Liga because I'm a Barca fan? Sorry, but I don't get that one. I mean maybe my credibility to talk about someone else's fanhood, or loyalty, or something might be diminshed, but I don't think I'm guilty of doing those things...

That's true, but again, I don't see how that makes me a moron. Also, I don't think that I ever advocated all Juve fans being like me... If you want to be an ignorant pissant, it's all the more entertaining for me.

Now, if Barcelona is caught in some sort of unsavory affair, will you move on to another club, or choose the hypocritical path?
I would again direct you to my reasoning for leaving juve, to be found here: http://www.juventuz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16458

I don't respect you at all. And not because you're a juve fan or anything to do with football, I'm sure you're a model fan in every aspect. I don't respect you at all because you've consistently shown yourself to be an ignorant, irrational, overly-direct person.

you really should consider a career in politics(unless you re already doing it), a flipflop who conveniently switches allegiances and makes promises he can never keep ;)
Ah, an actually reasoned response, how refreshing! CHEERS! But, no, I gave up politics, I am an artist...

There is nothing irrational about disliking a dishonest and disloyal individual.

Kaka has a standing invitation to these lists it seems. Laughable.

Ibra officially the best striker in the world, good to see. Etoo ahead of him sure, but that's only for scoring in one particular match, he's no threat.

Forza Ibra. :touched:
