The cheaters known as Barcelona got a fake penalty and they scored.
This is the most favored team both in CL and La Liga.

But the fanboys will again find an excuse.

Ok i'm going to sound like a fanboy here. :D

But i'm not defending Barca per say here. Rather i am against the argument where you bring refs up and say they favor this team over that, especially when both teams in question are big teams. Thats why i have always argued against Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool fans who always claim that refs favor United in the EPL/

You see it evens itself out most of the time. Barca won by a non existant penalty today, thats true.

But go back 2 weeks, Racing Santander had a perfectly legit goal ruled out in the dying minutes against Real. It was an ever worse decision than today's one.

On another note, Real are really starting to look strong lately. Ever since El Classico, they have looked like a real functioning team.

It was a truly preposterous decision.

So it is fine for the ref to make shit calls and fuck over the smaller teams as long as it evens out among the big teams?

Nice.

Watching many games of Serie A, EPL and La Liga, I think the big teams in Italy and Spain are more being favored by the refs comparing to their counterparts in EPL. It's the worst in Spain where the refs' decisions are constantly in favor of only two teams. Thing is that Barca have recently had the advantage in El Classico as well.

No excuse needed. Of course referees favour Barcelona. It's hard not to favour a team that plays such beautiful football and gets hacked all the time. That being said, it wasn't a penalty, but I think it's a bit of a stretch for a Juve fan to be complaining about biased referees...

No of course its not fine. But the context in which i was talking, i was only considering the two teams that were competing for the title, Real and Barca.

Yup, both teams are favored. Neither is favored more than the other though.

Btw, I'd love to see Andy's impression of Xavi's dive :seven:
That was a terrible dive. Xavi of all people, i didn't expect this from him.

Madrid get similar favoritism but not as bad as Barca's
Thats absolutely ridiculous. You cannot back that statement with any meaningful evidence, i'm sure.

Barcelona gets as much favorable treatment as Real. What frustrates me is that they are being portrated by the media as some kind of rebelious club fightin against Real's establishment which is just ridiculous. There's nothin rebelious about this club, they have been fuckin smaller teams since they were founded and will continue to do so in the future.

Oh, the expected cliché.

You know what's the difference? Juve were relegated and I doubt you can find an example of biased referees helping Juve after the relegation. But the same biased referees are still helping Barcelona left and right, in Spain and in Europe. When Barca gets relegated for the constant help they're getting by the referees, only then you should dare to compare them with Juventus.
Until then, i'll call your team a bunch of cheaters who probably wouldn't have won the CL in 2006 nor in 2009 if the refs didn't disallow a clear Shevchenko goal and didn't let the Barca players play handball all match long in London against Chelsea.

Being a Juve fan is exactly what gives me the right to complain about biased referees. Juve were relegated for what many big teams are still doing i.e getting favors from the refs all the fucking time.
