Disappointing, to some extent, to see a team winning that is based purely on organisation and athleticism rather than showing any real attacking ability or intent.

Emerson is 33 now (probably) and his goals end an extraordinary process of redemption. He was detained by Brazilian police in 2006 after allegedly falsifying his birth certificate when he was 18 to appear that he was 15, and getting a passport with it. That said, in a week's time he will go on trial for illegally importing cars and money laundering, all of which could get see him jailed for between four and 14 years.
He also has the odd distinction of having played illegally for two different national sides. He played for Brazil's Under-20 side at the 1999 South American Youth Championship while 21 (but claiming to be 18) and then turned out three times for Qatar having taken citizenship during a stint at Al-Sadd before anybody noticed he had already represented Brazil. This was his greatest triumph but it may end in disciplinary action: he was engaging in a running battle with Caruzzo all game and seemed at one point to bite the defender's finger.

This game shows perfectly the lack of brain in South America nowadays.
Argentina has great strikers/wingers; Brazil has good defenders + Neymar; but in the midfield there's no one to think and play smart.
It's all about running and marking...
It's funny how things changed so quickly... in the youth ranks during years they let go talented but small players who didn't have the European profile to be sold. Now it's changing... it's going to take a while, but I guess in a few years Brazil will get out of this crisis.

But it's not about enganches anymore... it's about players who can think like Xavi, Xabi Aloso, Fabregas, Ozil, Schweinsteiger, Pirlo etc. Yes they are hard to find, but Brazil used to have some of them.
Ganso is overrated. Firstly the guy had like 2 or 3 medical proceedings in his knees. Secondly, he's slow as fuck, lazy sometimes. People talk about Neymar, but Neymar is a humble kid - they dont like him because of his hair. But Ganso is the big headed one - he thinks his classical style allows him not to work hard for the team.
Also his movement off the ball is pretty weak, so he doesnt get as many touches as he should.
unfortunately we dont have many options in Brazil (Oscar is the other hope), so we have to count on Ganso. But honestly, I think he's overrated. I dont see his playing style fitting in any other place than Spain.
