I was one of those lucky guys to get an invite for the football manager live beta game, and the server i'm on is going online on monday. It's basically Football manager, but online, against real life opponents. As far as i've understood, there are NO real life teams, BUT real life players. So i'm excited; anyone else participating? I think there were 9000 spots available.

My second question, for those who already played fm; are there any hints or tips where to start from. any formation worth trying out? What payers would you recommend buying from the start (i believe everyone starts with a blank team)? Would be awesome to have a list of not-too-expensive players with potential worth signing. thx in advance.

Football Manager Live is completely different from the regular Football Manager Series, development team is separate too.
it is indeed. I haven't really played the normal football manager, but as far as i know, there are a lot of differences. Main difference of course, is that you can't resume and pause the game as you want. The game will evolve in real time, matches will be played whether you are on your pc or not - therefore there will be things like assistant coaches and so on. Anyway, as far as i know all teams will be deleted after the beta-phase anyway, so i can try out without worrying. Depending on the gameplay and cost, i'll really consider buying this thing afterwards, i'll post my opinion once i get to play it (monday). the bad thing is that there will be something as a monthly fee to be paid... Don't really like that idea, but we'll see.

If somebody has a list of good youth players, or some other players that help especially in early stages of the game that would be a big help. thanks
