no way for rid Del piero ..
although he dosen't play well this season but there are many players have not give Bianconeri any thing .. Like Appiah , Iuliano , Legrottaglie , Thuram . why you didn't think about rid these players ?

I think we need Del piero .. Juventus without our Hero nothing .. his heart is JUVENTUS .

There are some clear reasons why juve bosses have maintained Del Piero in the team, despite is multiple injuries:

* he is one of the most precise and versatile players in Italy and the world
*he has developed, togheter with the juve society a strong feeling of representativity
+ he is an intelligent man with a sense of leadership, able to work for juve once he leaves the field.
+ he has maintaned a big role in the excellent last decade for the team

i think he has "love for the shirt". Dont you?

Before I type this post: My disclaimer

I don't hate Del Piero, but I'm tired of the blind defending of Del Piero. Just because he's our captain and a Juve icon is not sufficient grounds for paying him millions to be injured and put in mediocre performances.

What exactly does precise mean? If you're talking about his ability to sprint at precisely 1km/h or dribble the ball precisely into defenders' feet, I agree

I agree with you there, but I'd rather have a strong, consistent attacker than a strong feeling of representativity

See above.

able to work for juve once he leaves the field.
Maybe that's what he should do...

Again, I'd rather have a brilliant, effective attacker than a gentleman who loves Juventus.

We did think of getting rid of Iuliano, but come on, Appiah and Legro are in their first season and you can't blame Thuram for not playing well this season; our whole team is playing shite. Plus DP's the only one of those players who can get us enough cash to rebuild a whole squad

That's rubbish, Juventus can and will succeed without Del Piero. I'm sick of hearing Del Piero is Juventus and Juventus is Del Piero. No player is or ever will be bigger than the team

Even Baggio at 36 is more decisive than DP and he doesn't need ages to recover from a month injury!!!!

I would swap Baggio with DP any day!

I love the Juventus shirt, but i don't expect to be playing every sunday: although i feel I could do better than our own Mr Magoo DYO.

Lovely Eyes DP had that magic, briefly held it, spell binding the world of football, but alas he soon lost it and is now just a one trick pony. We all know the trick: that drop of the left shoulder and waft of his right foot over the ball as he pretends that he will cut to the defenders right, only to instep to his left and then send a wonderous curling ball, aimed afor the right hand top corner, evading the goalkeepers out-stretch hand. Alas so do all defenders and gaolkeepers, so they stop him shooting or catch the ball.

I still think he is a good joker to have up our sleeves, if at the tight end of a match we need fresh legs. Lets face it no-one is going to take him. Although he is Roman's favourite player and so we can hope for Chelski.

GRAHAM:
I respect your opinion, but i think is not fair to said that DP speeds at 1 km/h and dribbles the ball precisely in the defenders feet.

DP has win with juve five scudettos, one champions league, one copa intercontinental, one copa italia.thats a lot of good results for a crappie playerCan you mention an italian atacker with nore trophies in the last ten years?

Maybe, he has been lucky, thats all....

I don't mind if he does that before he retires maybe is more effective behind a desk where he doesn't have to dribble and shoot and if he gets injured he can always have a secretary to do the work for him...lmao!

I'm saying that trophies say nothing about a player
